He was originally quoted as being there. Dunno if he was though. He's also playing with them at Fabric in August (I think it's August?).

My mate was there said he was appearing on a really minor stage apparently... i am still waiting to hear if he managed to get any photos of the performance.
A guy put this on wim.net :
"Anybody been at the Wythenshawe park festival? Any comments re: Hooky doing LWTUA with Hanky Park? Wasn't there to witness it myself.
Wasn't the Hybrid live thing (featuring Hooky) going to be broadcast on Radio 1 this week? I can't find any info on it anywhere... please help!"
he might have been onstage with the flaming lips...inside some giant hamster costume..
excuse my french but what the fuck were they all about ???

No, he was in the backstage bar getting pissed.

What? Are you fucking blind/deaf? Don't you know the signs of genius when it emanates from your cathode ray tube?
Wayne Coyne & his band mates output puts NO's (& most other bands) recent releases to shame.

Dave did mention "copious quantities of illegal narcotics" elsewhere! Might've slanted his view, per chance? ;)
hey dave...what's the view like from the BANDWAGON? i've heard the last 3 Flaming Lips albums and i can't say i'd ever need to hear them again. every sad journalist and bedroom body has jumped on the Flaming Lips train...isn't it crowded up there?
that reminds me...what was the definition of FAD?
ah shit. i reread my previous post and i think it's a bit harsh. nothing against you personally dave, you must be a good fellow to be on these pages, but that was my limit on Flaming Lips praises.
now, i can't wait to hear the new HYBRID. I have high hopes the the Hooky collaborations. surely dj promos have been circulated?
promos must be out there as it has had several (glowing) reviews so far. if you cant wait for the official release eil.com may have the promos for sale

i've heard both the Hooky tracks and they are good. true to form particularly - nice bass solo in between some good atmospheric breakbeats.
Saw them live with Hooky back in April at Fabric and they put on a decent show, if a few too many vocals for my liking. Especially as the vocalist sounds like the gimp from Dirty vegas live.
May go and see them again in August - not sure yet. DJ promo's are definitely around, as I heard both the tracks on a Distinctive Breaks radio show.
This is what my mate had to say about Hooky's appearance when i asked him if he took any photo's!! ![]()
who else u see and did u get any pics of hooky for me? ########## Nah - didn't go and see him in the end clashed with better stuff.
