Hmmm...Tony Wilson did give Mr. Curtis some tape of Sinatra's to practice singing with for the Closer sessions (I believe).
True, but more as inspiration rather than to sing along to! Hence why "Old Blue?" is scratched into the run-off of Closer. However, didn't Ian spend most of the non-recording time in London banging the Belgian bird?
