gutted. at the last night at brixton hooky threw his drum sticks into the crowd where i was (front row at the right) they hit my hand & bounced out to be handed to some tall bloke with long arms stood next to me by a bouncer.
anybody else nearly got a great souvenir of a gig?
i got some gutair picks from a pantera concert, i nearly had a drumstick too, i caught it, but got wresteled to the ground and taken off my buy about 5 guys, damn did i put up a fight though, they weren't all that impressed with the boots to the head :)

I'm a bit worried my stories sound far fetched(I think it's the, 'where you really replies'), but I can honestly say I think I've told the truth on here the whole time.Anyway the story goes...my girlfriend long beore I met her, back in the Eighties, went to see Limahl, him with the big wig, she and a friend snuck onto his tour bus and had it off with a pair of his trousers(apparantly there was something special about them can't remember that bit)anyway needless to say he'd only packed one pair of trousers and when he awoke that evening and found them missing he had to perform that night in his undies...o.k. that last bit was slighlty stretching the truth.

Bunnymen's Pete de Freitas threw his sticks at us the crowd, they fell into the floor right next to me but I was too shy (or too stupid) to actually pick them up. Next thing I knew someone had already grabbed them. It was May 1984 and I'll never forget it.
I stood about 7 feet away from Madonna with my best pal and he got so excited he started 'moo'ing' like a member of the cow family. Surrounding members of the public stood in awe, and it wasn't at big M ... who looked extra special that particular evening inside Wembley Stadium. I'd never heard my pal moo before, it was a beautiful moment.
Although she never asked us to dine with her at the post-match gig and we never actually claimed any artifact she may or may not have thrown out towards our general direction we did thoroughly enjoy the evening and the experience to see one of the world's top stars in her prime (around 1991).

George I haven't the energy to battle this one out. She is popular, that does not mean she hasn't written good material and shaped certain aspects of pop music. I'm not her biggest fan, but I do like the odd tune.

Only time I saw The Fall with Brix, I was treated to the sight of her on her back flailing her legs in faux-metal histronics while wearing a short skirt. Mark looked nonplussed, while Scanlon and Hanley kept the whole song together (sorry, I can't remember what that was)!
