Wake up Julio, Ceasar and Carolyn of The Wake on vocals and keyboards, Barney on guitar, Donald Johnson of ACR on drums and about a hundred others on stage.

'The Tube' at the Hacienda Fac 104 January 1991

    UK 1984 (Factory FAC 104)
            A broadcast of Channel 4's "The Tube" from The Hacienda,
            including 'The Factory All Stars' (including members of
            New Order and ACR) doing 'Cool As Ice', 'Confusion',
            'Shack Up', and 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'.
            T-shirts, posters, and booklets were produced for this event.

To be honest, I saw this event as pile of poop. There was Marcel King miming his 'hit' in front of breakdancers! Madonna miming 'Holiday'?, not very Factory thus far.

The main event, mismatch of factory artists occupying every inch of the stage performing a quartet of Factory hits and doing the songs no justice. Too much going on at the same time. As much as I like The Wake, Ceasar looked out of his depth at the front for Love will Tear Us Apart. The crowd at the front were well over the top with their pogoing and special mention to the guy with the B I G mohican, he was surely at the wrong gig. This crowd reminded me of the bunch of poseurs at the Whistle test gig in 86
