I'm going down to London next weekend (25 July) to have a look around the exhibition. Any of the London crowd available to meet up with and sink a few beers and discuss the latest situation in Azherbaijan? I could delay it for 3 further weeks if that is more convenient for people. Who's up for it? ;)

BTW, when's Shug & Don back?

Sounds good to me - 25th/26th ?

Keep me posted on what date you agree. Can't commit at this stage but if I can pop in for a cheeky half then I will, would be good to put faces to avatar's, or in Tim's case a face to a Benny / Cobweb / Guiseppe etc. etc.

It'll have to be 25th for me - elsewhere on 26th.

Heathens! 25th is the last night of Big Brother! :evil4:

I'm on for a sherbert or two. The Smedleys have been mulling over a Soho meet for the 18th or 25th, so I guess this one could actually swing it.. .

Yep, I'm up for this one.

As Al says we we're planning to go out on the 25th anyways so tis good timing.

I'm coming!! - wish you would stick to the same Slug & Lettuce - being a Northerner in a big town still confuses me :)

Dave Molly has told me he is coming.

I'll do my best to be there :thumb:

I haven't met any of you before, and I gave the T-Shirt with my avatar away to Oxfam some years ago. But I am 6'5" tall :jawdrop: so that should help.

I'm gonna be working in sunny Bradford that day but hope to be back in the Smoke between 6-7pm.

If I do get back at that time I'll deffo pop up to join in the festivities.

Hey Mickey, why don't you bring your Joy Division poster and letter to the pub for us to gloat over? I may make a bid (reduced due to beer spillage etc)! See you there

I got my photos back yesterday and was a little disappointed, a bit of camera shake from a longer exposure time. and all a bit dark. I wasn't allowed to use my flash and had just loaded a 200 ISO film which is too slow for those conditions. So if anyone else is going and planning photos, use at least a 400 speed film and preferably 800 ISO.

What I am trying to say, quite badly, is that if you are taking a film camera with you to the ehibition, use a 400 or 800 film as they don't allow flash photography. With a digital camera, set it to 800 speed.

Bring some women

Not sure if I can make it, tomorrow is looking damned busy :( Will do my best.

I'm looking decidedly doubtful for tomorrow, unfortunately. There in spirit though.

I can't now do the Slug either, sorry Peter, but another time for sure. See my email today, tapes in post Saturday (if I can find a Jiffi bag).

Oi!:D

Yeah, was good to see our intrepid travellers back from Uncle Sam, 8,000 miles is a long way to see your side get stuffed 4-0 :evil4:, but Shug still seemed to have enjoyed himself. Brian, god knows how you put up with him & DoN for 5 days ;)

Must have been a good night, was totally fuct yesterday & spent most of it in bed, trust I wasn't the only one suffering!

Big-up to Pete Solitude who actually took up the challenge of putting his Avatar to a T-shirt! nice one. There'll be a few NOOLers sorting thru boxes in lofts now searching for a vinyl live-album 'Solitude', which was the brain child of our own Pete. Good luck with the BIG move mate :thumb:

Talking of moves, Ness, see you on the 16th for the housewarming, & less of the 'old'!

You should be sensible like me and go onto the water at the end of the night ;) Glad to see your young face on the 16th!! By the way I have got a copy of 'Solitude' (Number 81) - knew I recognised that t-shirt from somewhere!

Just got home from The Smoke and fell the need to express my thanks to the Slug And Lettuce posse. I don't remember meeting such a warm, friendly group of people in my life (don't get out much!). So a big thanks to everyone for making my trip to London a memorable one. Pleasant surprise to meet Don And Shug, thanks guys. Sorry I had to slope away before midnight but the beer finally got to me. Quite pleased with myself whilst chucking up outside my old primary school, take that Mrs Thorpe!. Went to Saville Exhibition with the kids on Saturday morning and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Great Weekend and cannot wait to do it again. Take care :thumb:

There should be another session of the London Order in the offing come Thursday, August 7th, with 'Mackem' Ian in town: he who named his daughter 'Elegia' and also now runs, wait for it ... Elegian Records.

Not sure of a venue but it'll have to be somewhere that sells G&T's cos Ian's a big fan. Er, that's actually Guinness and Tia Maria! Ugh.

Am hoping a couple of Slough lads might be in da area too!
