Originally posted by Solitude > Originally posted by Kevin Smith> I got my photos back yesterday and was a little disappointed, a bit of camera shake from a longer exposure time. and all a bit dark. I wasn't allowed to use my flash and had just loaded a 200 ISO film which is too slow for those conditions. So if anyone else is going and planning photos, use at least a 400 speed film and preferably 800 ISO.
Sorry, took me a while to work out whether that was posted in the wrong thread. Yes , photos from the exhibition?, I might do a bootleg video of it and sell it on ebay!. Will I heck. Is there anything you guys are after that i can bring with me on Friday?. CDS, videos, women?. See you there.
What I am trying to say, quite badly, is that if you are taking a film camera with you to the ehibition, use a 400 or 800 film as they don't allow flash photography. With a digital camera, set it to 800 speed.
Bring some women ![]()
Not sure if I can make it, tomorrow is looking damned busy :( Will do my best.
I can't now do the Slug either, sorry Peter, but another time for sure. See my email today, tapes in post Saturday (if I can find a Jiffi bag).
STOP PRESS:
Shug and Don, fresh from the States, will be in the Slug tonight!
(Signing autographs, no doubt!) ;)
just had them on the phone - bet they crash & burn with the jet lag

Twas a cracking night, was a pleasure meeting up with Peter, Davie M, Mike, Sunil & Ness for whom have never had the "Shugster Experience";) and also a thanks to the regulars Jarvo, Mr Rutter, Mickey Way and Tanya....absolutely fantastic craic and I am betting Mr Jarvis has a bit of a sore head, the guy put away about 3 bottles of Voddy
Great sharing New Order stories with Dave, Peter and Ness, we've all heard Jarvo and Johnny Giles boring stories over and over
So finally the London Order had the pleasure of Shugster and DoN, lets hope you's give us a wee bit of notice before the next one and I'l do my best to be at it. Hibster just as well yer not a betting man - it takes a lot more than Jet Lag to keep us away from the beer;) ![]()

Great night Shug, and great to meet you and DoN and Pete etc as well as the 'old' regulars. Don't forget 16 August if you can make it for the housewarming!
Have got painful bruise from where Al kicked me when I grabbed that bloody flag!

Oi!:D
Yeah, was good to see our intrepid travellers back from Uncle Sam, 8,000 miles is a long way to see your side get stuffed 4-0
, but Shug still seemed to have enjoyed himself. Brian, god knows how you put up with him & DoN for 5 days ;)
Must have been a good night, was totally fuct yesterday & spent most of it in bed, trust I wasn't the only one suffering!
Big-up to Pete Solitude who actually took up the challenge of putting his Avatar to a T-shirt! nice one. There'll be a few NOOLers sorting thru boxes in lofts now searching for a vinyl live-album 'Solitude', which was the brain child of our own Pete. Good luck with the BIG move mate ![]()
Talking of moves, Ness, see you on the 16th for the housewarming, & less of the 'old'!
Ness - I will be doing me upmost to be at yer housewarming - you'll have to send me yer addy via e-mail - if the worst comes to the worst and I cannae make it - I'll send you a NO related present through the post![]()

You should be sensible like me and go onto the water at the end of the night ;) Glad to see your young face on the 16th!! By the way I have got a copy of 'Solitude' (Number 81) - knew I recognised that t-shirt from somewhere!
Just got home from The Smoke and fell the need to express my thanks to the Slug And Lettuce posse. I don't remember meeting such a warm, friendly group of people in my life (don't get out much!). So a big thanks to everyone for making my trip to London a memorable one. Pleasant surprise to meet Don And Shug, thanks guys. Sorry I had to slope away before midnight but the beer finally got to me. Quite pleased with myself whilst chucking up outside my old primary school, take that Mrs Thorpe!. Went to Saville Exhibition with the kids on Saturday morning and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Great Weekend and cannot wait to do it again.
Take care ![]()

:barf:
There should be another session of the London Order in the offing come Thursday, August 7th, with 'Mackem' Ian in town: he who named his daughter 'Elegia' and also now runs, wait for it ... Elegian Records.
Not sure of a venue but it'll have to be somewhere that sells G&T's cos Ian's a big fan. Er, that's actually Guinness and Tia Maria! Ugh.
Am hoping a couple of Slough lads might be in da area too!

Can't make it sadly. Hope it's as good as the previous one.
Say hello to Ian for me, respect to Elegia.
