Isn't it usually the kids that pay less? Are they afraid they'll not attract anyone over 21 otherwise? Just curious, not that I'll be going ...

I'm flying to Disneyland on Sept 14, Think you can hold the party until then?

If not, just hold my prize until I get there

in los angeles, the 21+ crowd pays less because they are the ones who can drink. the 18-20 crowd has to find a way to get trashed before going in, i guess

Limit is 16 here, and even then I've never known anybody having to proof their age. Do they actually check? Tristan, just remember things aren't half as exciting once you're free to do whatever :D

from club to club, it depends. some places in los angeles check closely, and others are more relaxed.

in san diego, they are so strict that they won't let anyone in an alcohol serving club if you are under 21. down here, your options are either hanging out in a dry, all-ages club (that probably just serves coffee & soda) or if you are over 21, you can get in a bar/club that has alcohol. los angeles county laws are more relaxed in general.

...and nowhere in the state of california are you allowed to smoke indoors, unless it is someone's house.

Wow, I'm surprised that none of you are planning on going :eek3:, I was hoping to get some real New Order fans there from this website. Well if anybody changed their mind there's an ad in this week's LA Weekly with all the info (and it's also a 5$5 pass for you 18+ers).

I'm considering going. I live only an hour away, but I don't have a real license yet, just a permit. I don't know if it's worth the risk driving down there, but the chances of anything New Order related happening again in California are next to none.

Let's say that Holland is very permisive at every level :D

In Quebec it's 18, but it's more or less a suggestion, you can easily buy alchool at the stores (except government license store), most people won't card you.

As being carded, it's part of the excitement.. nothing will happen to you anyways :D Except you won't get any, but then you go somewhere else.

It never happened to me.. except when I went to Florida.. then they asked me, and fortunatly I just turned 21 back then.

Yes, however the point of going is not just for the giveaways - which reminds me, we also got some vinyl to give away! Anyway, as I was saying, the point is not just for the giveaways, it's to support the band.
