JD madness set to continue?

Saw the message below on the Joy Division Central site. What would the poster be? Perhaps an original Fac 1 ? Anyhow what do you reckon the reserve will be on this one, £1,500?

I have in my possesion 2 items which i am sure will be of interest to any joy divsion fan. First is an original Factory poster from the 'Russel Club',Royce rd, Moss side and is dated the 20th october(i'm sure this is 197 .The poster is approx 20" x 30" in size, 2 other bands apart from joy division are featured, Cabaret Voltaire and The Tiller Boys.The poster is not in great condition as it has damage to all 4 corners where it was probably ripped off a wall.

The 2nd item is also absolutely genuine and i guess to a fan could be the crowning glory of anyones collection, it is an a4size letter from I.B.Dicken on behalf of R.L.Gretton and all associated with the band known as Joy Division acknowledging receipt of a £100 loan to help them get started as a band.The letter is signed by B Dicken and is dated 29th september 1978.

I will be selling these items but am willing to listen to any genuine offer from a true fan first before i put them on ebay in approx 2 wks time.If anyone is interested please Email as soon as possible with a figure in uk£.

and what it eventually goes for just depends what Mr Sultan pays.

I realise this is written tongue in cheek, but obviously it won't be worth millions! None of this stuff is worth what certain people seem willing to pay these vast amounts for - FAC3 (together with the FAC15 poster on eBay) may be a very nice design, but you can see the design in the Ideal for Living book and at the end of the day it remains a piece of paper (albeit with a nice design). The autographed fag packet is just an empty fag packet with someone's scrawl on it - the autographed 'Ideal for Living' ep is 4 tracks that are (now) otherwise widely available in a format that isn't (and a badly pressed one at that)...etc...and all this because one of the 'scrawlers' is dead. At least if you'd bought 77 Barton Street when it was up for sale last year you could have lived in it!

I would never live in a house where someone has died there before.I have fear of the phantoms I went once in 77 Barton Street but not courageous enough to get in :D

Would you live in a house where occurred at least 2 tragic deaths? Does someone remember this story?

By the way, Nicolas will never forgive me for discovering that the house was up to sale and telling only the other site. Unimaginable, two deaths at 77 barton st, how tragic for the families involved. I presume Nicolas will never forgive you because you told a certain David Sultan at worldinmotion.net first? You naughty boy you. :D

don't know about anyone else but i'd be quite interested to see what was written in the letter, without having to shell out for it of course :D (presumably its relevant to the band)
