Yup, 5 CDs. I even asked at the counter. (I used to work in that same store) they insist it's the right one... ...if they were having me on... :violent: I can check for you - have a look and make sure.

There were 12,000 of the UK release with the fifth disc. I've seen three in different HMV's in the last fortnight for £30, and you can get it mail order for just over £40 so there is no need to pay stupid money on Ebay.

Where? I have one. But in Germany it was very hard to find one. Sold out 1 week after release...

eil.com are currently advertising it for £39.99 plus postage.

Robbery. It's still incredibly easy to get hold of down the shops. Nearly everywhere I go still has it. This is another one of those typical eBay scams where a common item is misrepresented as being rare, and has an exorbitant price tag slapped on it.

ok thanks

£30-40 gives me as good guide really, i'm still sure there was only 3000 made though not 12,000.

The 12000 figure came from a friendly local independant retailer, who ordered 3 thinking that by the time HMV, Virgin etc had got their quotas, he'd at least have a chance of getting one to sell. When all 3 turned up, he queried it with the rep who informed him that the entire first UK production run of 12000 had the fifth disc.

The US release was limited to 3000, as far as I know.

The 5th is better than all the other 4 together :D

...AND it has LOVE VIGILANTES as a hidden track!

How do we access the hidden track, where is it on the disc cheers Andrew:thumb:

You have to do what we did with the heavy metal albums in the 80's - play it backwards.

Deja Vu...

I actually thought it was on the hidden 6th disk...

Warning about Retro in the UK:

http://www.neworderonline.com/thread.asp?action=&thread\_id=10310&forum\_id=1

I think all the Retro UK boxsets have a sticker that says it includes a bonus disk but they don't. I've picked up several copies in HMV, Tower, and Virgin that only have this sticker, and none of them included the bonus disk. As i said in that thread I think the packaging plant meant to put the "includes the songs..." sticker on but put the "bonus disk" one on by mistake.

The 5 cd box is still available here up north,in leeds & sheffield. for £27.99 some of the 5 cd sets had a " promo" sticker on them also, especially in some of the smaller independant stores .i think that the stickers were put on for the bonus disc. i bet that some people bought them thinking the were actually promos. incidently you can also get the 4 cdr promos of retro here up north for £30! i bought the 4 cdr"s and managed to drop on the cdr bonus disc on ebay. so for the same price as quoted on eil etc you can have the cdr promos inc bonus for a similar price! regards steve smith, barnsley,uk

the 5 cd set are still reaching very high prices on ebay, i bid max of £50 on a few, but have been outbid every time.

I think the fact they put the 5 cd sticker on some and there is only 4 is making a different, there must be a reason why they are always reaching high values on ebay, people wouldnt keep bidding all the time for somethign they could get down the shops, it happens with every 5 cd boxset that is put on ebay.

hard to say, but i will check out eil.com :)
