Well, Don's and Shugzters tour of the USA is coming to an end, And as im the otherside of the atlantic i thought i'd post my 3000 here in Seattle before we jet back to London

The usual thank you's to all ya mad new order fanatics :thumb:

Special thanks to all the Americans that have shown us such hospitality during our visit, Starting off with AgentWood in NewYork who was such a great tour guide and ensured that we never went for more than a few hours without a beer :D WenOrder and his wife who are totally sound people and a pleasure to meet (Im still drooling over Michaels very cool mobile phone!!! )

New York was great, but we came over for the footie (more on that later :evil4: ) Bizzy Loves Trampolines aka Brian and his girlfriend who have been total diamonds, fantastic fun and we cant thank them enough for putting us up and showing us the crazy sights that Seattle has to offer (and believe me it has plenty of crazy sights  ) Green guy for making the trip up to see us and the game - top guy who's new order through and through and loves the odd beer (or 10!!!!) Matt, whos apartment we went to on sunday for a BBQ and had a NewOrder collection that comes close to rivalling the Rockets  The Texan gang of course Jeff and Pip and Churchy for making his way over to join us in the neworder festivities which led up to the main event........

Highlight of the holiday simply HAS to be during the game when all the MAN UNITED supporter club fans started singing "Giggs will tear you apart again" to the tune of LWTUA I was right in the middle of them at the Seahawks stadium and it was the sweetest tune of the night :D :D

Oh and we won the match 4-0 with plenty to spare !!!!! nice ;)

And Major-T see you on the other forum for Paperclips part2 very soon bruv!!! :evil4:

So cheers guys and girls, ya the best fans in the world supporting the best band in the world!!!

Congrats DoN on 3000!

Real pleasure meeting and hanging out with you in NYC. I had a great time ;). My mobile did come in handy a few times in NYC, didn't it?

Anyways, Hope to do it again one day. You and Shug have a safe trip back home.

Thank you very much for the kind words Don, it was great to see you and Shug enjoying yourselves here in the great Northwest, before the match at any rate.

I will always laugh to myself and smile at the antics that supporters of both sides displayed, it sure as hell beat any display at any sports event I've attended previously. A trip to Britain will have to be planned for the future.

Top marks to you for making the trek, for your infectious humour, as well as being a great NO fan. Respect always.

Besides, somebody had to drink those beers; you guys were gonna leave 'em there!:faint: Also, I had to prove Shugzy wrong about being a jessie; far from it, my friends :)

Just got home, it's almost 9:30, or about an hour before your flight leaves. Godspeed to you two on that long flight home.

BTW, just remembered this, and this is absolutely 100% true. After leaving Brian's this afternoon, I tuned into 710 am KIRO for traffic updates for the slog ahead, rather than playing the usual NO/JD. I swear to God, the first song I heard, used as intro music for the host, but he let the song play through, was John Denver's Take Me Home Country Roads. I do believe that the people on the sidewalk were giving me funny looks for laughing hard, but I didn't care, that just gave me a bit of fuel for the 5 hour drive ahead.

Congrats on the big 3000 mark, Don. :thumb: It was wonderful to meet you in Seattle and I hope you guys had fun. With all the talk of it, I'm wishing I'd gone to the football match after all, but a 4-0 Man U win makes for a kinda lopsided game, dunnit (although i'm sure you aren't complaining)? Looking forward to meeting you all again sometime in the not-too-distant future. Cheers!

donovan, you're welcome anytime at my place. next time we'll put some real cheese in the Macaroni. until then, take it easy on the shugster. it's not his fault Celtic played like they had spent the day drinking lager and baking in the sweltering heat at Kells.

congrats on 3000!
