The DVD was released by WEA - an AOL Time/Warner company.

NOW do you get why AOL were broadcasting it? Yes, that's right... no rights to pay... :nono:

So hardly surprising really...!

oh sugar yeah, didn't think of that. thing is tho', if they've put 5:11 on for people to watch, could this be an indication that there's some activity? i mean, 5:11 and 3:16 are being released in america, but can the americans watch the dvd on their aol service?

would like to find out if poss ;)

If you have an AOL account, you can log in to either the UK or US service, so I presume that people in the US could watch it too. It would be non-downloadable and therefore a 'taster' of the DVD scheduled for release - remind people that it will be available and announce it to people who would otherwise not have known.

Did aol also say that there was extra footage on the DVD, etc?

I reckon it was clever advertising - fans see it once and want a copy!
