316/511 available at Wal-Mart?

They've got both listed as coming into stores on the 12th, which is surprising seeing as W-M caters primarily to the "whatever the kids like this week" mentatlity. Knock on wood, if they're at the local super-duper-Star Destroyer-store nearby, it'll be a short drive for yours truly tomorrow! (fingers crossed)

yeah, but what about in 511 when barns yells "fuck the rain!", won't the WM want to edit that out?

Something tells me no one at Wal-Mart will put the extra effort in for watching some band they've probably never heard of (seeing as the typical WM employee seems to either be a 20-year old Britney Spears fan or a 40-something Southern rock fan) in order to edit it. Nevertheless, you can usually tell on the packaging, they'll indicate if it's edited or not. I have a feeling I'll still end up having to go to Clemson/Anderson anyway, but that's the first place I'll look.

Since the local Wal Marts around here are about 25 miles away, it's easy for me to avoid those suckers, but let it be known that those "people" are driving the last drive-in theater out of business by wanting to build a supercenter on the property.:finger::moon:

I agree, Walmart has closed down towns because all the mom & pop stores can't compete. Even a mall by my home is half empty because the Walmart had lower prices then all the stores in the mall.

How sad that another drive-in theatre will go the way of the buffalo/bison/wooly mammoth. There are several screens still standing near where I live but the theatres are long gone; one closed only two years ago up in Bellingham. We luckily have one within an hour's drive from here (outside of Oak Harbor) that seems pretty secure. Too bad they show shitty new movies (well, not to say that they only show bad movies, but all new movies have tended to be) instead of old B-horror movies from the 1970's. oh well, we can't have everything.

I have a love/hate relationship, or more accurately a hate/grudgingly accepting relationship, with Wal-Mart. I resent the efforts to incorporate EVERYTHING KNOWN TO MAN in one store, it takes the fun out of shopping. On the other hand, when you absolutely have to have paper clips at 4 in the morning and everything else is closed, nothing beats the W-M. I'm surprised the Bible-thumpers and Pat Robertson-style doomsayers haven't picked up on the fact that Wal-Mart, not Islam or homosexuality, will be the downfall of Western civilization

The bible-thumpers haven't picked up on Walmart because Walmart is helping to endorse their conservative values by editing or not carrying explicit media. At least they've finally lifted their ban on employing gays, but that was only just recently.

it was my understanding that wal-mart, at one time anyway, had an entire department screening all products for explicit words, and lyrics. the big stink at the time was that they would not stock Cakes "Fashion Nugget" for a single usage of the word "fuck." capitol then edited said word out just so that it wouldn't loose out massive wal-mart sales.

Well, no luck at the New World Order...erm, Wal-Mart Super Center, or at either of the two big chain stores (CC and BB) down in Anderson

BUT...this little rinky-dink record store in Clemson said they'd order both for me and that they'd get them in tomorrow morning

Cost me about $30 total, but it'll be worth it....but will it bring me true happiness?

That's cool; I remember my aunt babysitting me and my brother whilst she was on a date, and the double bill was Masque Of The Red Death (I think it was called) and the Conqueror Worm, both of which had Vincent Price in 'em, and scared the crap out of us little kids

Those movies are awesome. I'm not sure if they are Hammer movies or from AIP or which studio made them, but they all have that same low-budget gothic look. Vincent Price was a hero! So cool.

Rhino is slipping them into conservative stores by not having a "Parental Advisory" sticker on the packaging. They probably assume any buyers interested in New Order are unlikely to complain about the profanity and, in the case of 316, nudity.
