Hunterwasser what did you say about your all singing, all dancing computer? I've now got to start a new topic so I can ask you a question have I? Well what do you make of Saville recycling the cut out sleave idea and the pill shapes on 'Finetime' from an old OMD sleave? And what do you know of his work with other bands? I was in the OMD fan club before I discovered New Order and still have the sleave to 'Locomotion' always liked his work with OMD but I got rid of almost all of it when I could no longer stomach owning the records.BTW anyone know of a band called 'Clinic' I sold all my OMD records to their Keyboard player.

Hey, other bands like Ultravox ( I know Peter was once into them but discard them after some time...), Roxy Music ( some early stuff ) and wait for it...George Michael.
Well has the Hunts got an attack on the Huntsman on his hands. mI don't know, you pay your hard earned for a quality system... only to find you can't get to post no. 46 'cause of system overload beep! beep! jump out of the air vents she's gonna blow etc. etc.
Saville has now got a lot of cudos and works for some quality clientele. Mainly, he's legging about London hob-nobbing with the cultural elite... a similar curious sell-out situation as New Order? - actually no, he's always wanted to be up his own sphincter, in fact, he brushes his teeth after he's taken a dump.
I'm on a Huntsman time limit today so have to limit my rambling roses. One thing I forgot to mention the other day which has been praying on my mind like a windmill in my mind. Bizarre Love Tubular... everyone checked that cover out when it surfaced and thought yeah this is real cool. So what do the filthy Pet Shop Shirt Lifters do?... fucking go and bring out 'Discoid' with the same fucking cover the cheeky lazy cunts.
I hate the PSB's. Such cheap tripe.
That said... the album 'Please' was awesome and so was some of their other shite.

Fucking right. My best girl isn't keen on the Saville (as previous posts have explained)... and dearly loves Suede Shoes. Around 1995 we start noticing the better quality of the Suede Shoes covers... mmmmm, their too good thinks the Huntsman. Couple of years later it gave me much pleasure to show the girly the evidence that the covers we had been gawping at and oodling from her fave band were done by non-other than Sav-meister.
Get in there!
...and also WHAM!....their first greatest hits album back in the late 80's. It even has coloured bar, rainbow-ish one, at the edge of cover.
Shimmering... its a well known factoid that Sav has worked with several 'lesser' bands. External Manouveres in the Night are just one of many. Its just a very good job he got out when he did otherwise Sav would have been tarnished with the same bog brush in the quality stakes and may never have recovered. As far as re-cycling, or 're-propagate'ing' images is concerned... this is a very fashionable thing to do.... remember though, it takes a lot to make something look cool... its not easy. Earth girls are easy though.
Anyway... didn't Andy Mcluscy's chin grow to such unfeasible lengths he could no longer get anywhere near enough to a mic. to record anymore dire hits like 'Sailing on the Seven Seas of Rhye'?

Hey, didn't Mark Farrow used to work for Saville?...let's say they both happened to be sitting on the same wavelength...
Another amazing true story.whilst studying art in college we went darn sarth to that London. One of the lads on the course was a big PSB fan (no amount of telling him how Kneal Tennis said 'when New Order released Blue Monday we went shit they've already eclipsed everything we set out to achieve')anyway he dragged us of to stare at a door, if I remember rightly,it was in covent garden and oh yeah the official world's most fittest bird ever plus 1 gave me the eye, as witnessed by two eyewatsits, think about the Milano-Valentine-Hayek thing imagine it was 100 times fitter, imagine you've got 'The Village' on your car stereo and you drive a Ferrari 360 spyder and you're driving it in the Seychelles.
Huntsy as something of an ex-PSB fan the only thing I can really recommend is their B-side collection. It's actually well worth a listen esp their early stuff. Some of their covers and that were pretty good though..Behaviour and Very I thought particuarly
Ian your story was not more amazing than me meeting Jools Holland this afternoon. I didn't speak to him or nothing though. Just pointed at him and went 'its Jools Holland' like a complete muppet
It's a fucking story that Ian eh!... got a bit lost during the middle bit but the end Village to Ferrari ratio brought it home to me.
Did you ever launch your member into the girls tube?

Your story was a beautiful one Sebbsy... I tried to imagine the power of the situation but failed dismally. Up North you've more chance of seeing a being from another planet than a star... even a minor star like Jukebox Holland. My Mum and Dad once witnessed the filming of a fight scene for Heartbeat in Whitby starring Nic's Berries.
I was in London once and I saw Dennis Norden... couldn't help myself but stare at his massive nose. I was with a couple of friends and they expressed genuine concern for their own safety as Norden produced a hanky from beneath his well soiled trousers.
I was only saying the other day how you can't move for bumbping into Claire Sweeney round here.Must've been post number 49 or something.

Cliff Richard once walked out of a lift I was about to get into. That was quite cool. F**k knows what the was doing here though.

Is it possible to add cream and present yourself on the table of desire?
Sebbsy the best PSB B-Side has to be 'Was That What it Was' - does you agree or is you busy picking your feet?... tell you something else... I've got the original of this little monkey tap dancer.
'Was that what it was' is good. 'Thats my Impression' was my favourite. The first CD in general was very good, but it started going downhill as they went through their misguided 'Very' phase
