I know I've asked this before, and even got replies, but I can't remember them or how to find my original post (sorry!). There's a bootleg called Dreams Never End. Pic on front has Gillian playing guitar, tracks are:

ULTRAVIOLENCE PROCESSION ICB CHOSEN TIME HURT 5-8-6 DENIAL DREAMS NEVER END TRUTH SENSES TEMPTATION

Can anyone tell me which concert this comes from?

Thanks!

I have got the CD of this and I think its on the Italian "Lust for Live" series. Don't have it to hand but i recall the tracks were selected from various 1982 gigs so it is effectively a live compilation (I think?)

Incorrect. The setlist doesn't match.

NO: "Dreams Never End" (NOT '81 Gig, but "England 1982") Have a tape that appears to be a dub from a boot LP labelled "Dreams Never End". However, this isn't the 3xLP of a couple of their '81 German gigs, but something completely different.

Most of the songs have fade-ins and fade-outs, as is common with some of the NO boots, but they all sound similar, so there's a good chance that all these come from the same gig, which by some of the audience shouts does seem to have been recorded in England.

Here's the songlist:

Ultraviolence Procession ICB Chosen Time Hurt (faded out mid-song) 5.8.6 Denial Dreams Never End Truth Senses Temptation

The first 5 songs are exactly the same as Pennies, Norwich 24 May 82, but the sequence of the last six songs don't match anything else listed.

Now, the only England '82 gig that you list which doesn't have a track listing is Kilburn National Ballroom, London 05 May 82. What's weird is that Kilburn is listed again as having happened on 25 May 82.

I now believe that the 05 MAY 82 entry for Kilburn is probably bogus. The other tracks (thanks to Waterrat's documentation) are taken from the 21 JUN 82 Palasport Italy and 19 SEP 82 Athens performance.

According to CD label it was "Live in England 1982".

Right.

The first five are from Norwich Pennies 82, the remainder from Italy 82. They may be Florence Tenax, but nobody seems to be able to agree on this, as the Florence and Rome shows are often confused. They don't sound like Bologna though. Strangely enough, the exact same set as the listing on this album was played at the Hacienda 82, so I am led to believe. This recording is not that show though, as the first few tracks are unmistakeably Norwich, same bum notes and everything.

Well done, KP (!) Shame these things exist really - isn't it annoying not to have the WHOLE gig?

It IS bizarre that fragmented shows are made into boots. The Central London Poly show was made available on a very impressive looking boot, but missed off two songs and included a song from Slough instead!!!

Thanks for all your replies. Looks like this wasn't derived from one show then...
