Since we have been comparing Electronic albums...I thought this review should remind us of how well received the 1st album was by Melody maker....

Reminds me of the excitement and reaffirmation of my positive hopes for this collaboration of great musicians.

Any thoughts??

Great review that - makes me want to battle my way out to the shed to find the old record player:D

That's absolutely my favorite version of the Barney haircut.:bow2:

And nearly EVERY word in the damn article is true!!! Such an amazing album...absolutely one of the best pop albums the last couple of decades (IMHO of course).

Thanks for the link...I was able to read it at home.

Jeez...who's looks have gone further south?? Barney's or Johnny's??

I was watching Johnny Marr on the VH1Classic channel and he is starting to look very much like Keith Richards these days. Barney has just taken on the extra weight.

You have got to love the Sumner haircut! How many times have you asked them to cut it short on the sides, but keep a little length on the top??

Always...

Specifically...I have acheived this by asking my barber the following:

Mid-fade #2 blade, leaving 1 - 1 & 1/2 inches on the top.

Yeah I have always loved the Barney-style haircut and usually have it myself! I actually first fell in love with it before I was a big NO fan though, so it's a nice coincidence!

Self praise is normally no praise, but in this case you are right - I just had a look & its good - well worth a visit - another site for me to waste my time in instead of working:evil4:

I like the line about marrs riffs. He really is one of the best guitar players ever.

It just shows that every once in a while the music press get something right. Amazing review of an amazing album.

Now I know why Barney was so full of shit after 'Electronic'. He couldn't get Paul Lester's tongue dislodged outa his arse. Up till now I'd always thought it was his own finger up there.
