Until the end Time? Is that the same as Until The End Of Time from the Raise The Pressure album.:\ohwell:

Apologies NO Regret: missed out the word.

I understand that there was cd single produced of this just for those who had signed up to the Electronic mailing list.

Tracks were as follows:

  1. K-Klassic Mix

  2. Fluffy Dice Remix (by Bernard Sumner)

  3. Sweet Dub

  4. Soulboy Collective 7" version. I'm thinking it must be quite rare as it doesn't even appear on discogs list.

just curious ;)

You're right, it is both an extremely rare and expensive Electronic release; probably the hardest one to find alongside the "Tighten Up" US Promo CD. It is completely official and was released by Parlophone in 1997.

The story behind UTEOT was that after 3 singles (Forbidden city, For You and Second Nature) from Electronic's 2nd album 'Raise the pressure' the band decided to offer up the 4th single 'Until The End Of Time' as a fanclub only release. This was open to fans who had previously mailed in a card that came with past Electronic releases. Whoever sent in the card received a yellow press sheet through the post with an order form. The CD was priced at £4.99 and discog information follows:

UK 1997 CD5: (Parlophone CDRDJ 6483) 7:49 Until The End Of Time (K-Klassic Mix) 5:39 Until The End Of Time (Fluffy Dice Remix) 6:40 Until The End Of Time (Sweet Dub) 4:42 Until The End Of Time (Soulboy Collective 7” Version)

A further DJ promo 12" was also released which can be just as hard to find as the CD but typically fetches lesser amounts. The 12" was not available through the fanclub:

UK 1997 12”: (Parlophone 12RDJ 6483) [PROMO] 7:49 Until The End Of Time (12” Mix) [K-Klassic Mix] 5:39 Until The End Of Time (12” Version) [Fluffy Dice Remix] 6:40 Until The End Of Time (Dub Mix) [Sweet Dub] 4:42 Until The End Of Time (7” Mix) [Soulboy Collective 7” Version]

I recently spotted another copy of the CD on eBay and if you're requesting this info with a view to placing a bid, the best of luck :thumb: but I wouldn't underestimate how much it'll go for! :eek3:

Cheers Alistair.

Yes useful info. I hadn't seen it on ebay but had read between the lines of some banter on here. It's a shame I never send back those little cards - maybe I will from now on! Have a good weekend aeaf

Alistair,

thanks again. Got myself a thinking on the way home; two and a half hours around the M(bloody)25 so I had plenty of time, don't suppose you have a copy of the cd that you might be persuaded to do a copy until I can get my hands on a copy. Would be much appreciated of course. Cheers aeaf

well rare as Alistair says- i have heard that there were promo cd's made as well, but im quite happy with my cd single. If someone wanted to give me a £100 then i might start thinking about it.

To be honest it's not worth hunting down just for 4 mixes of the song- which isn't the best off that album. I find it funny that over the years you fill in those cards from cd's & send them off to recieve useless crap about release dates (that you know anyway)then 8 yrs ago something came good of this system

Thanks for listing the track times Ally, they caught my attention to the point where I realized I didn't have the Fluffy Dice mix after all, but the Sweet Dub - a kind NOOLer had emailed me it, along with the Soulboy 7". Yet another kind NOOLer came to my aid when I posted a thread here a couple of weeks ago, inquiring about the K-KLASS mix - turns out what they thought was the K-KLASS mix was Bernard's Fluffy Dice take on the track. So there's a bit of confusion out there with the circulating mp3's and what people have labelled them up as.

If someone could spare the time and bandwidth to drop me the K-KLASS mix it would be much appreciated and I would then in turn sort out anyone else who wanted to hear it, including the aforementioned kind NOOLers who endeavoured to help me. I don't really see why people shouldn't be able to hear the music they love simply because they can't afford the elevated prices on eBay.

Nice one,

Nick :thumb:

Is this true? I was a massive fan of Electronic at the time (despite not liking Raise The Pressure that much) and remember the postie bringing me promo postcards for For You and Second Nature BUT certainly never heard anything about this fanclub CD. I would've snapped it up in a second.

Yes, it's true. I guess you were just unlucky if you sent in a card but never received the offer.

(NOW DESPERATE) GROVEL - Would anyone be able to do a 'burn-and-post' for this rarity?

I would reciprocate anyway I could and in turn help others interested in it.

Many thanks,

Nick

You'll be looking at closer to 200 on Ebay!

I picked one up in mint condition on Ebay years ago for $160.00 US and considered myself lucky. It was the last single needed to complete my Electronic collection. The seller was from the Netherlands and did not accept any form of electronic payment so I bit the bullet and mailed him a money order. A couple of weeks later, I owned it and will never part with it given all the shit I went through just to get it. If you are fortunate enough to ever obtain one, treasure it.
