Started copying the dvds today, form a nice orderly queue.

These will be sent with no cover or track listing burnt onto a printable disc so you can do the printing yourself.

If I get a heap of requests for the dvds, I may ask for payment of Aus$3.50 to cover costs.

BTW, this is a great product and kudos to Shug for all his putting it all together. Much appreciated.

and here's what I think of this whole thing:

First of all, well done to Shug, for setting up and completing such an excellent project.

The menu is very smart, the artwork is brilliant, ... and Barney is as cute as ever :)

For me, the highlight on the Feel Every Beat dvd is: Feel Every Beat live! Whatever everyone else says, I like Barney's rapping. Also like the short stint at the keyboard (whooahh) and the extended ending to the song. What festival was this?

It certainly is fun to see the changes over the years, I think the bulge first appeared about 1991!

And what about the choice of clothes - some of them absolutely shocking. What about the jacket Barney wears at the BBC appearance in December 96, it's simply hilarious. He must have been sweating buckets (an attempt to shed some weight?)! And another jacket he wears on TFI in December 96, some hideous plastic thing (is he wearing that same one again three years later, I think it's the same one). Also think I spotted Barney with dark hair (or could it have been the lighting?!), anyway definitely doesn't suit him.

I like the interview on the train (tram?), and it's good to see a chopped version of the Prozac documentary, skipping the other participants. The 91 MTV interview is good too, I like the GTM video a lot. No particular story, but nice images, happy kids, and dare I say it again, a very cute B.

As for the performances, Second Nature on TFI is brilliant - it's got the full dance routine, whistling and whooping - pure class! The Vivid performance on TOTP is also full of superb moves - who's the girl? And what's the story with the CUP? I'd seen this one before but never really got the full story. Did I see a young Phil Cunningham in there as well? Vocally Barney struggles quite a bit here and there, especially on Out of my League and Haze (Jo Whiley performance).

As for the actual quality of the recordings, it drops a bit after the Prozac documentary but it's still very watchable (if you try and ignore Chris Evans!). It's only near the end that it becomes really sub standard. Personally I wouldn't have included the two VH1 clips, they're just not good enough.

As for the second dvd, The Promos, there isn’t really much to say. Nice collection, one I actually hadn’t seen before (Feel Every Beat Rock America). One small hitch where For You is taken from two different recordings, the first (bad) bit very short fortunately. However, For You still remains my favourite for obvious reasons, no I’m not going to say it again.
