SO?

I would prefer only a DVD.

I have all 3 albums and Disapointed cd single, so basically a Best of isnt a wise release. Basically you would buy 1/3rd of their discography (again) if you have the albums. But plus side, a couple of diferent tracks and single versions, but even that would make me buy this.

No.

I'm done with "best of" releases unless they truly offer something new and unique. They made sense pre-internet when it was hard to track things down, but I could locate every one of those songs in five minutes if I didn't already own them.

And it wouldnt cost anything either! No,seriously i`d probably buy the CD/DVD set thats been mentioned, but you could burn the tracklisting in 5 mins and have yourself an advance copy CD-R. eBay...

Yes i will buy the CD.

Why take four CD's into the car?

I prefer to take one - and go.

May as well burn one yourself. Electronic were by far the worst of the 'side projects' anyway, apart from 'Vivid' that actually had some balls.

Otherwise a pile of castrated simpering. Or should that be Synthering?

*waits for fall-out* :spit:

Yes I will, but 'disappointed' (ho hum) by track listing.

As I mention in another thread, I got more excited anticipating the recent arrival of my Tasty Fish CD single.

Probably not... As folks have said, you can always burn/playlist the CD yrself if you have the albums... +1 for the 'Disappointeds'... :nonono:

I may pick it up when it's going for £5 in Tescos a few months later

I don't mind buying it just for the remastered tracks (hopefully) and the artwork. Never heard the tracks in that particular order either, so that kind of brings a new life in a certain way.

course I will just in case I might miss something. Living in hope y'never know! not to mention the dvd

Dunno, thought I got it all last year via Master Shug thank you hairy crutch.

I'll probably get it because some sweet friend or relative will see it and pick it up for me, unawares. Honestly don't mind having yet another copy of something - I'm already on my 3rd purchase on several recordings because they got played to death pre-accessible mp3/dvd capture, and while I think Shug's was what this should have been I won't mind having it around as long as I'm not the one purchasing it.

And you know, I'll probably rescue one in a bargin bin one day, anyways, so it'll eventually get to me regardless.

Somedays I seriously think I oughta just send the various members of all the projects a straight check instead of going through a middle man, but what have you.

I'm passing on this one. I also passed on International, for similar reasons.

I always said I wouldn't buy International, but I did, and I listened to it quite a lot, so it's looking like a yes! although I bought International from Sainsbury's at a knock down price!

Email Shug's distributor's re; DVD.

I'll buy it when it hits the bargain bigs, UNLESS they stick a couple of unreleased cutting room floor tracks on; then I wouldn't hesitate in buying it at all!

I'll buy it anyways...because I think it's a nice addition to my CD collection.

Actually, having reassessed the E back catalogue, I think I shall buy a dozen copies to pass onto my closest mates just to remind the what a good fookin supergroup Electronic were when the were listening to the Prodigy and shit like Nirvana.

Bollocks to it. Electronic were fantastic. It's just we were spoiult by previous NO/JD endeavours. Buy it, earn Barney a couple of quid and shove it up the charts you ungrateful bastards!!!!

That's why there's iPod. Before when I listened to cd's I might have, but now that I have all thier songs at a touch of a fingertip, seems only a waste of money.

We all should realize that if this one won't be sold enough, there won't be any other re-releases in the near future, like perhaps deluxe editions, including really hard to find versions or even unreleased material... All the Deluxe editions by other artists have been preceded by Best Of's as well... check it out.

I'll buy the UK edition. Always nice to have somethng new to add to the collection.

BTW: Any word content/bonus tracks for other territories, particularly Japan?

That sucks that Rhino will only release the cd part on in US. I was thinking about the CD/DVD part (for the DVD) but now Rhino's crap version will deter me from buying it. Unless I can find the import CD/DVD

Agreed. If I buy it at all, I'll buy the UK version from The Ideal Copy or amazon.uk.

I'm currently debating whether I want it or not. I have all the albums, and it certainly doesn't seem to be treading any new ground.

There are lots of neworderonline members living on the right side of the ocean who can buy and will send it to the American continent...

I must admit I had not heard of Electronic until around the time of Raise The Pressure (I'll blame horrible US radio stations for my ignorance!). One of the alternative stations in Bay Area was running a contest back then where they would play three songs in a row and the callers had to answer what the link was. I had just started getting into Joy Division at the time after heavily listening to NO for the past 2-3 years, and when the DJ played LWTUA, followed by True Faith, followed by this amazing song I had never heard before (Get The Message), I knew what the link was but didn't have a cell phone at the time. Caller after caller couldn't get the right answer and the DJ actually had to tell the audience the answer after about 10 or 12 wrong guesses!!

Next day I hit the used cd store near me and picked up "Get The Message" and "Getting Away With It" cd singles. Later I got the debut album tape from my brother and bought RTP on release day in the summer of '96. I have enjoyed Electronic over the years, but still am somewhat baffled by Barney's comments about the music not being right for New Order. What exactly would be wrong about adding some Hooky bass to a relatively pedestrian track like "Gangster", or some Stephen Morris drumming to "Feel Every Beat"?

I refuse to allow any music into my hose that has Neil Tennant on it :D

I, for one, would like to see that!

And yes I will buy.

Was going to buy, then saw the £17.95 price tag and decided to wait for the sale

I'll buy it for the DVD portion. I'd rather it have ditched some of the LP tracks in favour of b-sides : "Second To None" and "I Feel Alright" are fantastic and sadly missing.
