Dark Angel

At the risk of being told this song sucks or that i am an idiot for saying this with all the cynicism on this site anymore, i thought i would put my opinions that this is one of the most transcendant songs i have ever heard. Electronic hit gold with it in my opinion. i am not sure if i expect any response. But does anyone know any stories about the song. I read somewhere that Ian McCulloh had something to do with it. Just talking

I don't care what the song is about, but this is one of my favourites off the Raise the Pressure album.

I love it too! On certain days, it is my favorite Electronic song. :)

it's a great song, but in my rubbishy opinion one of the few good songs on a poor album (the other good song being Forbidden City, For You, Second Nature and One Day). the rest of the album sounds really dated

I don't think the album sounds dated, but that's just my humble little opinion. I think this album isn't "poor" compared to most of the mainstream artists in the media.

Maybe not poor, but i thought it should be stronger considering it's Barney, Johnny Marr AND Karl Bartos

Personally, I love that album. Probably my favorite Electronic album. Color me crazy

i dont really see what the talk about it being a weak album is all about. It really is incredible. And in my opinion, which is worth nothing i know, its better than twisted tenderness (which is not bad in anyway). Bernard Sumner is, again in my opinion, a genius and his lyrics and singing are perect for the music, especially on dark angel. I say this given some reviews bashing his singing on the album, but if rihanna or nelly furtado make "great music" according to the radio than raise the pressure is absolutely perfect and transcendant.

i'm not sure it can be compared that closely to technique. I think it was morrissey who said this album was a bit 'Ital Disco' (although i may have got that wrong). i actually really like 'raise the pressure' especially 'dark angel', but i can see why people think it is dated..

Good shout, although it's let down by the plinkity-plonkity keyboards during the intro.

I always thought Dark Angel should have been the second single from Raise The Pressure.

I love Dark Angel. (I know :p) If RTP does sound dated - to me, it's a good thing, but then, I'm old. Does music date the same as technology... how can art be dated??
