Been watching the DVD bundled with Electronic's best of...damn, those videos are corny/crappy/awful! However, every time I hear Getting Away With It I'm stunned by how good it is. Easily one of the best singles of the 80's.

actually it had the opposite effect on me. I got the single when it first came out and it put me off getting any further electronic stuff for over a decade. what a mistake that was.
I much prefer Get The Message to GAWI.
The GAWI lyrics are just a bit too soppy and the instrumentation's just a bit too "twee" for my liking although I do quite like Marr's funky guitar licks.
Give the flipside Lucky Bag more of a listen to be honest.
GTM for me, right down to the funcky blue'n'orange T-Shirt I once proudly owned... 
GAWI is good for sticking on compilations for philistines who know nothing about NO, etc. though... Along with BLT, Regret & BM the only thing the missus recognises by NO et al...

Just love it. Every time. Love GTM too. But GAWI was a real cross over for me from my Pet Shop Boys days.
