I'm a girl, but I liked Electronic, Revenge, and Monaco. I don't exactly fancy The Other Two, so I don't think gender has anything to do with it.

Going back to the topic, definitely untrue. It's like saying rock music/heavy metal is only for lads and boy bands are only for chicks. Well, even for the latter, the lads minority labelled 'fags' fall for it.
