They do the job I suppose and "dancify" a relatively straight ahead guitar track. If this were 10 years ago these probably would've been put out on "CD 2" in the shops or at the very least on 12".
Mark Reeder's contributions are relatively sparse (drum machine, synthetic bassline, odd synth) with most of the vocals and guitar from the original surviving intact. We're not looking at a drastic Confusion Pump Panel reworking or anything but these certainly aren't bad though probably not that memorable. The Waterwing Remix gets my vote as the best.
Both full length mixes could easily have padded out the SoS "single" on iTunes/Amazon etc. so bit of a surprise they've seemingly been released for free.
