Bad Lieutenand pros and cons.

Now which are the pros and which are the cons about BL then guys?! Not that easy to say it I think.. ;)

The album got leaked for free before it went on sale.

The play NO/JD stuff live

They are a good excuse to get drunk with Vikings etc, when playing live

And above all, it's nice to see one of the old f___ers back in the studio releasing stuff.

The album is MOR pish in general.

None of your mates will have ever heard of them.

Following them around costs a bloody fortune.

As long as they exist, New Order do not.

Good points you've got there but what about more in terms of songs/band arrangements though?

Pro: Barney's voice is more melodic than it's been in a long time, if ever. Con: while I really like the album, it's the first NO/NO-related that didn't have a 'wow' type of riff in it.

Pros

Good to see the autocue isn't rusting away in Barney's garage.

Jake can actually sing, despite being a dwarf.

Cons

A number of iconic rock gods must be shocked at the number of classic riffs ripped off (or is this a 'pro?'). That's if the ever hear the album, which they won't.

Not enough keyboards.

BLT acoustic just isn't right live. They should floor us with a Monaco cover instead.

'Sink or Swim' is dead boring as a first single.

No 'hot' female scantily clad dancers onstage.

Pros- Barney's making music in some form again! Lovely, sweet and soft melodies and sound from BL. It's sort of like 'guitar-pop' (using a term that some music magazines have used here---I guess they mean 'guitar-based pop music' by that term) that's easy on the ears. He seems rejuvenated working with Phil and Jake. The band seems to have good chemistry. Barney's voice is lovely as usual and Jake's a pretty good singer. Nice subtle touches of keyboards used to bring out the guitars.

Cons- Some songs might want a bit more keyboards.

Pro;

Barney still making great music.

Con;

It's not NO.

pretty simple really

Main pro is that we can here Barney's songwriting (and Steven's drumming live). Con - songwriting isn't always inspired.

Well, you should expect it to be like that! Barney do like it to be different! Plus is co-writing so there you go! ;)

I agree, Bernard being inspired again is well.....inspiring.
