Good tune, look forward to the album - but why toss a Rambo & Leroy tune on as the b-side? Was I the only one who bought the EP?

The CD was given away at the Wolverhampton gig, although I, unfortunately, didn't pick one up - did meet the band after the gig though! :)

jake sounds nice on the three songs from july . and someday soon new bad lieutenant songs , plus 6 new new order songs. thanks very much.
Does sounds like Bad Lieu... hopefully if Bernard has some new songs they sound very different.

I have bought it at Vinyl Revival in Manchester near Oldham Street.
I'm going to see him in a pub in Macclesfield tonight.
He's very talented, Rambo and Leroy were a good band.

Yep. Jake is a very good musician and a very nice chap.
It's been said before but his voice is very Jimi Goodwin-esque which is a definite plus in my book. I think by coincidence he's been collaborating with Goodwin on another musical project (Bird Effect Ensemble) while Doves take a break.
I also met Jake at the FNAC signing in Paris a couple of years ago and he was indeed very approachable and friendly. I'll certainly give his solo album a spin when it comes out. His vocals on BL tracks 'Shine Like The Sun' and 'Head Into Tomorrow' are really good, in my opinion.

Yeah I saw BL in Manchester at the Ritz. I'm sure he is a nice bloke, I just find his singing voice dull.
Had a natter to him in Sound Control June 2010 after Barney's DJ set, and again last night after the Marion gig at MCR Academy. Nice fella.
