Anyone remember this tweet from May 2012? I'm not aware of anything surfacing since then.

doesn't look like it was released. I checked Koishii & Hush's iTunes, Soundcloud, Discogs, Myspace, Beatport & official website. No mention of Gillian and none of the songs sound like they have her on them. I googled their names together and there's barely any results.

It's so disappointing when they make music and don't release it. I read that they were working on a new Other Two album around the same time but of course nothing came of that either.

Ah yes I can see why you checked them out. One of the guys is indeed called Alex and they do make trance/rave kinda music. Too bad about the lack of...anything. Perhaps Gillian can tell us about it when she gets round to writing her book...

Koishii & Hush remixed Bad Lieutenant's Twist Of Fate didn't they?

So a bit of a link there.

You can listen to two minutes of the track on K&H's Facebook page. Fairly generic trance that could have come out any time from 1996 to the present. I wouldn't have recognised Gillian's voice TBH. Out Feb 3rd. "Includes Saltmarine/ FM Attack/ Lavigne/ Relocate mixes". From a NO fan point of view, a dub or stem of the vocal might be of interest. I bet we don't get one.

Sounds like a summer driving tune so far… a euphoric rush…

Crowdfunding for a 12"? Hmm. LINK The download is listed on Amazon now.

*EDIT*: In addition to the Saltmarine mix above, previews of the FM Attack and Lavigne remixes can be found: HERE. What we need is surely an Underworld remix for a nice dark (and long) trance/tech sound. This stuff is too light for most NO fans.

I do quite like Gillian's singing, really liked Tasty Fish and Selfish back in the day.Don't see why NO can't do a song sometime with her singing on it, maybe a b side track at the very least. This track itself though i found pretty meh.

I like the song to , I cant wait to hear the single in full , the 2 minute preview on FB sounds good, will definately get it.

Gillian may have a dark and wild side that has been self suppressed to keep things sane. I see her duetting with Shirley Manson, Sarah cracknell, Harriet wheeler, Jeff beck , and tha damned and John cale

KIC, you've surpassed yourself with that one. No disrespect to you or Gillian, but she's about as wild as a goldfish. People say, 'Fuck off Mike, maybe she's shy...' I'm extremely shy, but I haven't had nearly 40 years in the biz or played stadiums. Very strange.

Gosh, maybe we won't get to hear her sing 'shadow of love', but I'm sure 'in a pagan place ' or ' hi ho silver lining' is possible . And she could record 'avalanche 'in several languages. just imagine another version of silent night in Gaelic or braethonian. Endless possibilities .

The 2 minute preview they put on FB on 18th January is the Saltmarine mix isn't it? There doesn't seem to be an "Original Mix".

All four remixes can now be listened to in full (if you move your cursor along the soundcloud type thingy) HERE.

Bought the album from iTunes. The download stuffed up (my internet connection and computer is fine) while it was processing and the files were corrupted. It's not allowing me to redownload them, I can't even hear the songs I paid $9 for. iTunes is no good.

Just bought the FLAC version off Juno Download for a fiver and copied the files over to my phone. Will give them a spin as the week goes on and form an opinion. It's definitely a bit odd there is no "original mix" in there which can be worrying as some remixes completely gut songs so I hope these are good interpretations. It is a dance choon to begin so perhaps there's nothing to worry about.

A quick glance at the rest of their catalogue shows Koishii & Hush really really like collaborations don't they?

The song is great and Gillian's vocals do sound stunning as usual... I'm inclined to believe that the Saltmarine remix could be the "original" version? They used an edit of that one to promote the single on Youtube... you know, if it means something:

Saltmarine mix is the best of them methinks.

I guess K&H do their "trance" thing just fine if that's your thing. I prefer my dance music a bit darker/quirkier personally. I'd love to hear somebody talented give the track a complete re-work, just keeping the vocals. i.e a good bootleg mix.

'Lifetime' will be released in two parts, the first coming out as a digital single on February 3rd featuring four mixes of the track, with release information for the second set of mixes for download will be released shortly.

Perhaps this second batch will include their own mix?

Of the first four remixes, the FM Attack one is the one to go for in my opinion. Loved it. The others feel a bit fast... the vocals don't feel attached to the music.

After a day or so of listening... the first two remixes are definitely the best. It's got that early noughties Trance stuff going on. I'm liking the FM Attack one simply because it's got that nice chilled out vibe and mellow keyboards. The Lavigne Remix is shite purely because the vocals have been sped up and it doesn't suit; it's a "style" I suppose but not one I'm particularly a fan of. Gillian's original vocal is pretty good really, she can definitely (still) sing. The thought of blending her voice with Bernard's vocals on any upcoming "new" NO material is easily one that could appeal. I'm not sure if they'd ever go down that route but I don't see why not as we've had Ana Matronic, Elly Jackson etc.

Will I still be listening to this single in a month? Probably not but it's pleasant enough. Good to see them still indulging in extra curricular activities. New songs to be encouraged etc.

One of the (many) weird things is how unproductive they are as a unit but productive as BS - PH - 02. In my geek days I tried to make a list of everything but soon gave up. Interesting old thread at http://forums.neworderonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=9464#post9464.

After contacting Apple I got the files redownloaded and all is well. If anyone else has this issue just go Account Info on iTunes and it should show incomplete downloads even though other pages say you've downloaded it.

This song, well worth the wait! Not only is it pleasant to listen to, but hearing Gillian's voice after 17 years is gratifying. I had low expectations after reading the band said she's not good enough for Music Complete or live performances. I am pleasantly surprised with Gillian's voice. It sounds just like the old O2 albums. I really like the chorus. I don't really like the filter they point on her voice, was it too poor without it? I wonder. It's a shame none of the edits have her voice unfiltered, I was expecting a raw vocal sample on one of them. I'd like to hear it without any filter or effects. but either way I think it's safe to say her voice is good enough for at least 1 track on the next NO album, even if it is a small backing track. As for the actual songs, here's my breakdown: 01 Saltmarine Remix, basically instrumental, not worth listening to. 02 FM Attack Remix, main song with vocals. even has a p. hook type guitar. 03 Lavigne Remix, vocals are sped up to sound like Lost Frequencies' Are You With Me. Not really worth listening to. 04 Re_Locate Remix, same as track 2 but more fluff and less substance, still nice though,

After this song I feel Gillian could do a whole new album, her voice is on point. Plus we've seen Stephen has creative talents that go wasted when you look at the remixes he's done compared to Music Complete that doesn't have any of the same sounds.

I love Gillian's voice and inflections. She sort of cuts melodies short, and she sounds grounded and secured, not going all out. To me it speaks honesty and is more meaning than traditional vocals. Anyway I want to ask, would you guys recommend any similar sounded artists? Recommendations will be very appreciated. Bernard sings similar to Gillian, it's interesting to hear the similarity as always.

Have listened to 4 mixes on iTunes stream.

Saltmarine mix is all a bit 90s/00s hands in the air trance fluff but Gillian's singing raises the quality.Though some of the ideas with the keyboards actually remind me vaguely of Underworld - 'Two Months Off'.

FM Attack is mellow, fairly nice if a little bit Robert Miles ish, inoffensive 90s dance electronica.

Lavigne mix is chill out room of the club stuff.Or the DJ warming up the crowd early evening.

Re:Locate mix is a bit harder Goa trance thing going on or Paul Oakenfold 'Fluoro' era.

I do like and rate Gillian's singing but overall all these mixes though pleasant enough are all a little too generic.I'd probably listen to one or two again on streaming but don't think i'd purchase any of them.

Sorry i can't be more positive but i just think i'd be much more interested to hear Gillian sing on a new New Order track.

I like it! Wondering what mixes will appear on the second part and the vinyl release. Don't have anything signed by Gillian so going to order a vinyl http://igg.me/at/MQ9MTSCLZ78/x/2223553
