Yesterday Jake Evans announced that his new album "Day One" will be released on 31 July 2015. NO fans will remember Jake from Bad Lieutenant; he sung lead vocals on a fair few of the tracks and co-wrote the material with Bernard and Phil. Bernard actually shows up on one of the tracks on the limited edition:
The album features contributions from former Doves frontman Jimi Goodwin whilst the download and limited vinyl formats include an alternative take of 'This Is Life' featuring lead vocals from Bad Lieutenant bandmate and New Order vocalist Bernard Sumner.
There was apparently a technical issue with the pre-order links yesterday but they should return on Friday 15th (tomorrow). Here's a link to his store in case anyone's interested.
For those who don't know his music, it's a kind of Doves-y melodic rock.
