Member Profile - Upload Picture failed

Dear Admin!

I can't upload a Member Profile Picture. Can you help me?

Error Message: The following errors occured when uploading your picture: - A generic error occured in GDI+

Shouldn't this be in the technical forum? I had the same problem initially, I resized the jpeg to 400 pixels wide and the picture uploaded fine :nod:

Member Profile - Upload Picture failed

Dear Admin!

I tried all sizes, small, exactly 400x400 pixel, smaller than 400x400 pixel, different Programs to create the image, different directories to pick up the image, nothing works.

The Error Message is still the same.

Error Message: The following errors occured when uploading your picture: - A generic error occured in GDI+

Can anyone figure that one out?

I have it too, but I can't find why some JPEG does this, and other works just fine.. :scratch:

could be the extension? i mean, Macs don´t use a .jpg extension, it comes within the archive. so if the system needs an extension and your picture doesn´t have it might get messy. i use Mac but i put the extension in my picture, just in case.

ideas....

Nic - I've just tried to upload a new avatar (twice) but my avatar has become the picture which I use on my member profile. Help!

Just tried again and the same result (as you can see to the left). The correct process is Members > Modify Profile > Upload Avatar, right? :(

I get the same error message when trying to upload a picture - not on a mac and tried diff sizes as well. Been happening for a while and gave up.

Same sodding problem.

Plus, it won't let me edit my marital status...I'm SINGLE now damnit :p

Same thing happened to me, and mine was smaller than 400x400 yet. Odd. It was a .jpg too. Bloody 'ell.

There are problems with that I still don't get, but I'm assuming it's due to anti-virus softwares on the server...

I'll have to make a temp file in order to have it working...
