Can this be done easily? By that, I mean the ability to select users you wish to ignore so that their messages don't show up.
Several other sites I visit have this option.

Well, I thought of it, but that will probably screw up your experience.. you'll see quotes and answers to the post of that person in the thread.. that'll be weird, isn't it? 
...that's what I also thought, but I was afraid to post it, 'cause of maybe misunderstanding something... 
If this is about the chatroom, it's the only 3rd party software I use on this site (beside the WYSIWYG editor), so I don't have control over the features...
But it's a lot better than the crap I did myself, it's just impossible to do a full web chat client that looks good.. I give up ;)
