Hmmm.... I'm too old for this (being the same age as the band an' all)... I don't have an avatar in the new forum, but my profile says I have an avatar... What do I do to get an avatar here?

Does anyone have an avatar solution for this: I've uploaded my avatar to my account, no worries. But, every time I tick the box in my account next to "Check this box if you want to show your avatar in your posts" and hit Submit, when I go back into my account the box is unticked again?? I have cleared my internet cache, rebooted etc, but it keeps doing the same thing over and over, ie the box stays unticked. Solutions?
To Shergold Six and shot bru: If you want your avatars and your profiles to be visible, you need to "check this box if you want to show your email address in your posts"

Thanks for the advice, however I tried that and it still didn't work - can't show avatar in posts, also can't upload picture to profile - get same error msg as mentioned in other thread in this forum. Very frustrating. 
You say you've tried that but I still cannot see your email address in your posts. Why don't you simply try it again and convince yourself I've been telling nothing but the truth. :D Mind you, a hidden email addy = no profile to be seen here. ;)
i'm having the same problem: the box won't stay ticked when i try to add my avatar. i've got all the same information in my profile that i had when i did have an avatar and i can't figure out for the life of me how to get it back! no tricky browser--just internet explorer.
