There is NOTHING worse than fastidiously articulating your thoughts onto the screen over a prolonged period of time and then hit post to find that your entire message has disappeared due to a time-out. Never to be recovered.
I know an option is to copy it before you hit post but who remembers to do that all the time?
There used to be a pop-up that appeared that warned you when the time-out was approaching so you could take action. Whatever happened to this?

i concur.
this has happened to me too. when I do a big post now, I write it out in word first and then copy and paste.
I also hate this, but it's quite simple, really...
There is a time out on this system, it's 20 mins, if you are idle more than this, your session expires and you need to log on again.
For people with autologon, it brings you back to the page where you were, so the message page... empty :(
I have yet to find a way to fix this, and I do know it sucks because it arrived to me a lot of time.
