Nightmare trying get a photo on to my post ?

Why is it so hard to get a photo on to your post on this site ? I can upload them on to picture manager on this site. But from there i can't get them on to my post ? Can anybody help ?

you have to upload them onto a site like http://imageshack.us (free), then link them to NOOL from there (the bottom link on imageshack), using the image link on the left.

yes i await the day when it is possible to just copy and paste a picture.

get imageshack (or equivalent further instructions are for imageshack) browse. it should automatically go to your images select the image open it host it then you select the url i use hotlink 1 for forums. then paste the ural into a post and voila.

here's a tip. when i post heaps of pictures i open the internet twice. once for nool, and once for imageshack.

Cheers ! I can get the photo in to a post by pasting the url ! But i am still finding it hard to get it under my name (Author Field ) ??? I think NOOl need to sort this problem out as i know there are a few more who have had a mare with this ?

Two (2) places to deal w/ the Picture Manager. Have to go through the paces for both 1. Avatar. 2. Extended Profile.

Picture Manager. Will access saved Pictures. Send New Picture. Browse. Select. Change file type to *gif, *jpg. Give it a Title.

Upload. Result.

the problem with the way you host pictures is you get all the code surrounding it. if you use imageshack or something similar, you shouldn't have that problem.

jake, as for it being a NOOL problem, it's not. you just have to figure out how to do it properly. it took me a while, as well.

yes copy and paste the whole url.

pictures are so unsightly with all that code crap around it

I use photobucket because it allows you to upload multiple pix at one time....

And it is free!

didn't know it was that easy! Downloaded imageshack but didn't quite notice that I needed that programme. Didn't have to copy a url.. anyway...glad it finally worked out.

no you don't need imageshack for your avatar. if you want to post pictures in your posts, then you need imageshack.

yeah, well, Roland, just believe me if I say I've tried many times to get an avatar and eacht time I tried all I got were messages saying the picture couldn't be uploaded for some reason (even though it was in the right format). Why it worked this time I don't know. Probably got pictures and avatars messed up or something. But the explanation on this topic somehow got me on the right track.... And if ever indeed I would like to add a picture to my post I'll use imageshack. Thanks for the advice.

Sometimes I get it wrong but I don't seem to be the only one....
