For some reason, whenever I make changes to certain fields of my profile they don't remain changed. For instance, if I enable avatars, they only remain enabled for a short while. I keep having to go back into my profile to switch it back to 'Yes'. Same thing with the "Why I like New Order?" field. I haven't been able to change that in years.

The other problem I've noticed often is that if you take too long to compose a message, the contents vanish when you click submit or preview.

the is a New Order site. ;) things may not always work out as planned or end up as scheduled.

preview ?! never used that before. Does it serve much of a purpose. usually edit out typos. Those that are using Opera might say to use the refresh or back function to resurrect the post and resubmit it. or use Windows word or notepad. write only short comments..

Like to remove the location line entirely. For simplicity and plain aesthetic merit. Profiles don't even list a location line. Can't seem to get rid of the ,

The most annoying thing is really the avatars getting disabled.

Turn yer images off Tim :D

As for changes not sticking....the details page has no "do not fucklin cache me" tag on it, therefor, you make changes, and when you go back to the details page, it reloads from cache and it shows you the OLD settings (and of course if you make one change here you end up reseting all the other stuff back the old way). Make your changes, navigate away from the change profile page, then back to it, then HIT F5 to refresh (you may even try ctrl F5), you should THEN see that your changes have stuck.

As for vanishing posts....either use opera, which does not clear non-sensitive forms, so if you hit submit and it fails, you can go back and hit submit again (it's about a 20min timeout btw). OR you can simply hit ctrl-A ctrl-C before posting, then if you get the black post box up, you can simpl ctrl-V and submit again.....assuming of course Bill Gates doesn't decide to clear your clipboard for you for no reason.

I wish it were as simple as a cache problem. The changes initially appear to have been made once submitted and it returns you back to the editing page, but when I check a few hours or even days later, it's the same old story.
