I may have done this before, but it was before the poll option was introduced, or I was lazy that day (more likely), so anyway: Let's say, just for fun, that you were able to convene a Nuremburg-style trial for all the most twisted, evil perpetrators of a certain crime, held somewhere like the Hague or Geneva. The crime these villians are charged with...Musical Crimes against Humanity! :evil4: :singer:

Who among these would you pick (can only pick one)? Think carefully...

John Tesh, for sure, though I'd put Rick Wakeman, ex-keyboardist of Yes, for his abysmal concept albums of the mid-70s, like Journey To The Center Of The Earth, up there as well. Can't stand the shows on PBS where John is shown orchestrating his overblown pomp in dramatic places such as the tops of a crag in a canyon while the sun sets dramatically in the west, etc. Pomposity at its worst.

Not cool though, with Aaron Neville in there :nonono: I know that song w/ Linda was overplayed to death, almost as much as the Titanic song by Celine, but I'd give him a break for being a part of the great Neville Brothers, but that's just me :)

I would cut Aaron some slack....if I hadn't had to listen to that damn song all through the Eighties! Great artist in his own right, but, like Stevie Wonder, he made a terrible song that became a hit and I had to hear it. Besides, I saved my vitriol for Chrissie Hynde, who I left off the list because of all the great stuff she did with the Pretenders but who earned my hatred with "I'll Stand By You" (aired in a continuous loop all during the summer of whatever year it came out on VH1).

Tough line-up, but Michael Bolton wins it for me - hearing his voice actually does something to me physically and I'm sorry, but that mullet can never, never be forgiven

i wonder what germans think every time someone brings the fact that David Hasselhoff was masive there!

I voted for that Hasselhoff muppet!

Michael Bolton, no contest. He scares me!

John Tesh or Yanni. The former wins, though. Although Yanni should also just be thrown off a cliff. But, why the inclusion of Bauhaus?

For letting Love and Rockets loose. Their song "So Alive" was good the first twenty times I heard it, but as with everything in the Eighties it was overplayed.

so I can't vote for Tesh, Yanni and Hasselhoff?

Looking back on my list, I'm beginning to think I should've just scaled it down to just those three...

Michael Bolton? I celebrate his entire catalog. ;) I'd vote for Yanni this week as my roommates' 9-year old son has been playing nothing but when he goes to bed. I've been cranking up "Kid A" and Section 25 to drown it out. My NO / JD / Electronic catalog is at my parents' house so I've been going through withdrawl. Honestly I think the true worst on that list is Bob Seger. Bob and anyone who likes him (Chevy truck drivers?) should be shot in the face - slowly if possible! Ha ha...

and how does one go about shooting someone in the face SLOWLY???

You missed Air Supply... bad people... very very very very very bad people. They should be tried for war crimes coz that whining was literally a bleeding sonic assault on the ears... well that afro was good for a laugh at least. :censored:

I'm sure Tesh and Haselhoff are worse than Bolton, but he's the guy who irks me the damn most. Where's KD Lang???

Hang all the god-awful music that comes off of coporately controlled MTV. You call that stuff music? All the music and lyrics are written by the record companies and half of the time the bands aren't even playing......complete garbage. Music nowadays sucks terribly. Examples: Simple Plan, Good Charlotte, New Found Glory, Sum 41, the list goes on and on and on and on and on (you get the idea)

Simple plan really irks me. Their song was on constant rotation on the top 40 station this summer while I was at work. Never heard such a whiny bunch of talentless wankers in my life.

I like the Pet Shop Boys. Maybe a bit too much, but at least they write their lyrics and can put on a decent live show without miming.

I remember the dark years of Queen, then they went away . The darkness , it's just so fuckin wrong, it'll take years to go away you know , that foul taste, that sense of despair:cry::cry::cry:

All this Bling Bling rap. Keeps stereotypes alive and prevents Americans from learning English in favor of Ebonics.

Question: What is the most depressing thing about that list?

Answer: The combined album sales.
