I like the original version,out of the Get Ready stuff on In Session its the only one i think isnt as good. i love the version of Slow Jam though.

Way out of time, the entire song. Renders it almost unlistenable to me. The Promo Mix and the Album Version are excellent though.
I don't really see what the attraction of the BBC version is. The album version is great--one of the 5 best songs on the album (along with Primitive Notion, Someone Like You, Crystal, and 60 MPH). Anyway, quality stuff the album version be.
If Get Ready had the In Session versions of Slow Jam and Close Range would have been even better. I don't think we even need a poll about Slow Jam: is there anyone who doesn't prefer the In Session version?
Prefer Beeb versions of all three Grrrready tracks.
It's almost harking back to the philosophy between Confusion & Temptation 87 - they committed one version to vinyl but through a process of playing said tracks live we end up with a slightly different version, but one which exactly marries the version they let loose in the live arena. Least, that's my theory.
Yup, like Al says, all the tracks from 'Get Ready' sound infinitely better on the Sessions CD.
I've not been a huge Close Range fan from the start, but I think the BBC version is quite good. Definitely better than the album version.
Session version for me, seems to have bags more energy and assertiveness than the studio version 
The sessons version for sure.
Remember the Get Ready version is the steve Osborne mix and the sesson version is the way Barney made the song.
This is the song Barney and Steve went head to head on. Peter once said in an interview. Steve won because they were paying him to produce the cd, so they had to let him do his job.
But to be honest, the Get Ready version sounds too main stream, as Barney's version sounds more "Out of order" I really like that. It reminds me of when New Order did things their way, not the way of the world.
Overall Sessons sounds more powerfull and rock. Get Ready sounds flat.
I like both versions. Always liked this track. But I'm going with the Radio One Session version. It's louder, more attitude and has more oomph to it!
