Yes, this song should be retired live. I like the song a lot, but live it should not be. Double same goes for BLT, which always sounds like a horrible cock-up when they do it live (vocals sound like SHIT). There's a number of songs they should do away with, and many more they could easily bring back into the setlist without reprogramming everything (damn TPK).
Yep, BLT should go to or be redone. Wheneveer I make a cd of the last tour I usually leave off both songs so the gig fits on one disc. Atmosphere as well.
I'll never complain if I never hear it again in my life (okay, maybe for a couple of years at any rate), as it has become the track I always skip on live sets.
I kind of like it live. It sounds different than the single or Best of version, but it still sounds good.
i think they should play every song they've ever written in one week long gig, say an hour and a half / two hours per night would be fab :p
Originally posted by PIP I would be happy if they played anything live here in Texas!
i second that :)
ahhh...good, the last two posts are saving my sanity....
Touched may not be the best thing they have ever done, but it beats a lot of the shite that is out there...would you rather hear the order do Touched, or Britney do Toxic????
sure, I'd die to hear TPK, or Thieves done live again...but I'll take what I can get...
I`d like to see the following:
Touched played every now & then-not EVERY gig. True Faith returned to its original form live. The Perfect Kiss reprogrammed and end a perfect set.
I`d hate to see the following:
Crystal start EVERY gig from now on. The same JD songs played, except maybe Isolation. Temptation played at the end of every gig.
I`d like them to rotate that vast back catologue basically,so we get great stuff we dont expect.
Steve.
The original Touched/True Faith (1987-1989), Perfect Kiss = Fantastic
New Touched/True Faith, BLT, same bland Get Ready songs over and over again... = Blah
Instead of putting on a great gig of lost classics, they choose the easy way out and breeze through their biggest hits.
Hope they become enlightened, and tour the Northeast as well.
Pretty average live IMHO, but when I got the 12" I must have played it 20 or more times on the bounce when I got it home. The only other JD/NO single I did that with was Temptation, and so TBTHOG has a special place in my NO memories just for that reason.
I would like to see them perform this song live, exactly the way they look in the video.:D
Indeed!
New BLT and New Touched were just crappy in all the gigs i've seen.
I would really love to listen to the original ones, and adding also the long version of The Perfect Kiss!
Luckily they played Shadowplay here in Argentina :)
