Blue Monday - it has to be; even Bernard calls it 'fucking Blue Monday' and he should know.

Why has only one person mentioned "Working Overtime" so far? It's my least favourite by a long shot! It's like NO trying to do the Beatles or something.

I know it gets flak, but I love "World in Motion"! It's cheese, but such happy, sunny cheese.

"World in Motion" closely followed by "Werido", with "Confusion" in third and final place.

I would not put most of these songs on any worst of list, but Murder is an excellent candidate!

No way Jestream and I told you so are bad songs, people! World in motion is sort of fun, too, for a football song.

The one I like the least is Chemical, lacks any sort of charisma. Times Change is much better than Chemical.

I agree that World in Motion is fun. You can't take everything so seriously! Jetstream has laughably bad lyrics but I think the tune is rather catchy, and I definitely don't understand all the Blue Monday bashing. A very important song whether you like it or not. All in all, there are remarkably few NO songs I don't like, though. Not much rubbish at all in their collected works! Rather like "who is the ugliest supermodel?"

Exactly. And Blue Monday is not only important, it's an kickass song on its own.

Not only are you right, Gabo, but you know which "its" to use when. Very impressive!

Ah, sorry! XD That should have read: "it's A kickass song on its own"

Close enough.
Actually, I hadn't even noticed the "an". :)

Blue Monday is the song that got me hooked on NO - I still love it. As I do, World in Motion, the best football song I've heard and a fun song.

Not real keen on State of the Nation.

Waiting For The Sirens Call...... eeeeek!

Yeah, WFTSC is the worst NO song ever. They should never have released it or put it on the album. Infact they should never have called the album after it's worst song.

Gotta be Do The Ostrich. What the fuck was that all about? No wonder the first 2 mins is Sumner saying "were gonna fucking regret this".

Which album is that on? I looked on play.com and n one of NO's albums had Do The Ostrich on it.

Point on. And besides, I've just always hated that whole "WFTSC sound", i.e. Krafty and Run. ARGH! What's with the simplistic tunes?

I know I'm probably gonna get flamed for that remark, but hey......

They've performed it live loads of time... I have it on the 1987 Ostrich-A-Go-Go bootleg. Not sure where else it can be found.

HAYSTACK!!!

I just heard recently. The first time I heard it, I said to myself, "WTF is this song?" Anyway, I gave myself the benefit of the doubt, for I might like it later. After hearing it a couple of times again, I have to say, it's really a BAD track!

Indeed!

Well, 'Do The Ostrich' was a live piss about, so surely can be forgiven...

WIFM? There's a reason why most of us add the 'F' - Keith F**king Allen... Would be okay if it was an instrumental.

As for 'Piss Stream' I think most people here are in agreement.

What I don't understand is the wide dislike for 'State Of The Nation'. The first national airing of the track was on 'The Tube' before the release of 'Brotherhood'. For many of us 'oldies' at the time it was exciting enough that New Order had come up with something new and that we could look forward to some new material and as such, I'll always appreciate the track, especially remembering Barney in a yellow 'Pringle' sweater and a bright pink luminous guitar strap.

Each to their own though, and those are just my own thoughts on the topic. Always good to know that so many years on, New Order can still encourage lively debate among us LOL
