Hey, I like WIM. Don't Do It, however, is clearly the best post-Substance b-side and miles ahead several album tracks as well!
DDI has aged well. I dig it more now than I did upon release. Maybe it's just the Ibiza revival.

The only reason WIM doesn't get skipped on any dvd's or compilations is because my kids actually like it. I like to think I'm a tolerant person so I put up with it(although to their credit, they do sing Scotland instead of Engerland of course)
Don't do it VOTE WORLD IN MOTION!
Fook the detractors, WiM is the best World Cup song EVER (official)!
I can understand the foreigners being a little bemused by it all (esp. our American cousins), but if you were in Manchester during the summer of 1990 then it is very hard to beat the memories of WiM being played incessantly EVERYWHERE!
The summer was hot and England reached the semi-fianls. It was a catalyst for English football that could culminate with us ending '40 years of hurt' in Germany this summer. Everything began when WiM got to number one. England reached the semis, and the rest they say is history.
If we win the World Cup this year, NO can take all the credit!!!

This is really tough. I always thought of WIM as a joke record, and it makes me cringe when they wheel out Keith Allen, he's not funny. However, I feel some sense of duty to further the national football song's claims in a World Cup year at the same time!
Don't Do It is one of the only songs they buried for some reason - would have stood up well against anything off Technique, and probably should have been on the album. Would have made a great live opener as well.
neither are great, but WIM wins on sentimental value.
This would be true, were it not for the fact that DDI is ,in fact, great.
No disrespect to WIM - indeed, the finest footy song of all time (although PWEI's Touched by the Hand of Cicciolina comes a close second, right?) - but WIM is ur-New Order, New Order in excelsis, New Order qua New Order, latin-inspiring New Order....
... and it don't get much better than that.

I vote for WIM : quite good dance song. "Don't do it" is hard to compare with WIM, 'cos it isn't the same kind of song at all. I like it too, but I prefer the rythm of WIM than the depressing mood of "Don't do it".
