At the risk of being controversial, although i think Regret is a fantastic song, Shellshock holds a lot of good memories for me so that's what i'm voting for.

Another Shellshock voter steps into the stoning place. I love both tracks but Shellshock to me is typical of the Orderish funny banality. And hell, the arrangement is beautiful in spite of the over-processed guitar. The Warrington debut was also a priceless mess.

it seems as though i'm one of the few shellshock devotees 'round here, but it still doesn't come anywhere close to the near-perfect regret.

This is so easy, Regret!

which way.. much prefer Shellshock voted this way and have to stand by it.

dealing in the limits and we don't know who with...the one song - desert island standard makes the vote difficult.

could never believe New Order followed the magnifecent Low Life with, um , Shellcack:nonono:

or maybe it is entirely beleivable from them

If Republic was a single and not an album, I wish Regret was the A-side. Shellshock just bores me.

My problem with Regret is that it has been used in an advert here... So... I begin seriously to be sick of it...

And I never liked the line "have a conversation on the telephone"... The one in Shellshock suits me more. I am not aware of my loneliness until the phone rings...

Last thing... As a foreigner, I like the word Shellshock. It fascinates me...

I'm a die-hard Republic fan. Regret is an absolutely perfect song. (To me.) But, even though there is a wallop-load of memories and feelings and the glory of seeing Regret live...

there's this bizarre rawness about Shellshock. The straining sounds of the synth violins, the urgency in Bernard's voice, the shouting chorus...and the lyrics. It feels so unpolished. That makes it so good.

Yeah, it's really tough for me to decide against Regret of all songs, but there's just something more drawing in this comparison to make me vote SS, instead of Regret.

I'll admit to being another closet Shellshock fan, but it still can't unseat Regret - NO perfection.

I am utterly bored with Regret but I also believe it is the better tune. I listened to Warrington's Shellshock today. Last time Regret popped up on my Sony I skipped it.

Regret. Never get bored of this live or listening to it. Classic.

of course I have no doubt Regret will get the popular vote here, but I really really like Shellshock
