i do not like either of these songs, however, i'd have to give this to elegia(not the 'this-will-put-you-sleep-16 hour-drive' version). it's more on an artistic tip!
difficult to choose... but the version without lyrics of angel dust I have is better than Elegia in my opinion... that said, I think that Elegia is also overrated...
Angel Dust is one of my favorite New Order songs, and Elegia is an instrumental moreso based on atmosphere and feel than say, Ecstacy, which is just drug chic groove. I voted for Angel Dust. You all should too.

Sorry, but to me Elegia has several memorable instrumental hooks and a powerful build-up of dramatics. Angel Dust can't offer the latter, although I do like sniffing it a lot.
I think these two have switched round in my estimation recently - I've got a bit bored of Elegia (disappointment after hearing the 20 minute version perhaps) and Evil Dust has given me a new perspective on AD - great sample and part of my rediscovery and reappreciation of Brotherhood in general...

I agree with the person who said they can't believe how close it is, except I thought Elegia would win easily. It's one of the most beautiful pieces of music New Order have ever recorded, and the sequence of Sunrise and Elegia in the middle of LowLife is perhaps the best part of any New Order album....

angeL go. isn't that classic though. shine, simple and subLime clarity of New Order that is untouchable. even unthinkable by most any other band.

ARE YOU KIDDING? NO DRAMATIC BUILDUP IN ANGEL DUST???? How about when as the song is progressing and then that riveting guitar with the voice atmosphere in full effect. Soon afterwards the song ends. I get chills, man....every time.

Been away for 24 hours! So Angel Dust got the clincher did it? I shall record the score as 40-39 to Angel Dust, and if nobody likes it they can run the fookin' thing themselves.
