Time for some research...
I'll get back to you guys once I've listened to Uknown Pleasures 5 or 6 times today.
On first listen, many many years ago, it was Day of the Lords. Will listen to it all again during today.

listened to this l.p. non stop for 3 weeks ,,early 1980,,,could not choose between any track then as totaly engrossed into the whole sound,
though now disorder with its opening line,,just shades it as fave.
Insight was the song that got me into the band in the first place, when I first heard it on the Jan 79 Peel session. The irony of someone not much older than me singing about how he remembered when he was young wasn't wasted on me. Enjoyed the rest of the session too, and the rest as they say is history! My world was changed that night, not much can do that.
my best 5 of unknown pleasures:
Hands down, that would have to be 'She's Lost Control'! First time I heard it, I actually agreed with the third verse. It kinda described me a bit. ![]()
New Dawn Fades. I always skip over this version of She's Lost Control-don't like it. However, the version of SLC off Substance is a totally different story. That version is much darker/much more powerful.
All of them! Just the perfect record. When I'm sick of everything else, on it goes. I've now had three separate stereo's that have also point blank refused to play anything else, no shit, question is: how have inanimate objects acquired such excellent taste? Repetition? Have I drummed it into them?
(To answer your other question; only reason I checked this forum was because another thread said no-one used it now).
