One of my faves from the Get Ready Era
Better use of the "underneath the tree" lyric
"listen to the coors", couldnt Bernard have found a better lyric to rhyme with scores? Maybe "and bitchslap my whores"?
Loved it .. pleasant suprise for a B-side

Best bit - The tempo change at approximately 45 seconds and the piano.
Worst bit- I listen to the Corrs behind closed doors What kind of lyric is that?!
Nah, it's cool, I like it just fine.

what would you do if you were invisible? Oooh the possibilities. Ever see the movie "Hollow Man"? Nah, I wouldn't go that far but it'd be fun to mess with people.
who are The Coors? I only know 'The Corrs' a band from Ireland. Isn't he singing about them? Or are 'The Coors' a band as terrible as the Corrs?
Just wondering... Nice song by the way, should't have been just a b-side.
Best bit; Joy Divisional. Worst bit; The Corrs (Lesson 1 in how to destroy the atmosphere of a song). Love/hate; Love. Lets hope WFTSleftovers contains some stuff of this ilk. %; 90% (if they delete the reference to The Corrs!) Invisibility actions;I would be arrested if I told you.
1 Best bit - everything really, drum beat is very cool, great song that should have been on the album 2 Worst bit - 'listen to the corrs' does kind of annoy me, but in the end I think it is just a joke a bit of a piss take really. 3. I love this song 4. 85%

1.The lyrics, Bernard's voice, the strings-ish sound and the beat. 2.The fact that he mentions The Corrs 3.I love this song; it was a bonus track on the Japanese edition of "Get Ready" and I loved it. 4.95% 5.Stalk some of my favourite celebrities.
when I first heard Behind Closed Doors I was stunned at how awesome the drumming was.. so.. jazz like, for lack of a better word. The whole song is very non-New Ordery.. it was as if they were being totally creative vs. making a song that is going to appeal to radio listeners. It made me think, if they made an entire album like this, it'd be great for fans.. but would probably do horribly in sales. But, you never can tell can you.
Anyways...
Best bit(s)- when Barney's vocals meld into the synths at 0:59..
Worst bit- the song ending
Love/hate-% 100% love, even the Corrs reference.. just Barney singing off the cuff.. it's all good. Other similar off the cuff lyrics in my mind are: "I think you are a pig, you should be in a zoo." "You've found me at a bad time, why don't you piss off" Not literary genius, but says so much.
-what would you do if you were invisible
I'd do a lot of bad things.
