Too Late

has there ever been a thread concerning the status/disappearance of this little gem from the 2nd Peel session? Has anyone ever unearthed any information as to why it was never performed live, or even got another look in anywhere...?

I quite like this too, heard there was a recording of a soundcheck or practice where they perform the song but not sure if this is true.

Some NOOLer put forth the proposition that Too Late was the forerunner of 5-8-6/Blue Monday. This was based upon listening to the 81-84 rehersal recordings that have surfaced in recent years.

I think its a great song but dont understand why no one has put the lyrics up on song browser? There not difficult to work out.

Yep, fact is that it is true that it is never mentioned whatsoever. Tough, in my mind too it's a pure KILLER ! And my favourite off the 4th Peel session. Kudos

oldies but goldies... A rare song,very subtle. N.O early years, the band plays in this particular and personal way that i do enjoy .A song like a miracle.

Agree with all the above! It's a testament to how fuckin' fantastic N.O. were & are,that they could throw away a gem like this.But they've done it before as J.D. with From Safety To Where,Autosuggestion,Atmosphere & Dead Souls.Cocky Fookers!
