2. the way it peaks and dips in the middle of the track, it almost carries you along with it in a dramatic kinda way

3. Listen to it occasionaly and its hard to dislike this track, be nice if it sounded a little "softer" as its supposedly quite a melanchonic track

4. I love the fact that it doesnt sound laboured and that NO have crafted a lovely bit of music without vocals yet which doesnt sound like an BM instrumental :)

Well what do you expect? It is just an edit of the LONGER version...

I dig the bass playin'!! It does slow down the album a bit much. It's a great "Mood" tune. It can bring me down were I need to be, or can be uplifting to a degree. Basically if you're an ass going in, you'll be a bigger one coming out. 83.5% Roast Beef & Onions & Swiss cheez...

BTW - Has anybody figured out what in the heck is being uttered in the middle of the original 16 min version of this piece of work?

Yes.

1. the whole thing! it's lovely and moody and seems to have provided great (if probably subconscious) inspiration for Kawai Kenji's score for the Kyuuketsuki Miyu OAVs and TV series (aka Vampire Princess Miyu for UK and US release). seriously, give a listen and you'll see. ^^
2. only bad point might be that it should've (perhaps) gone more places than it did.

Best Bit: The 17 minute version is fantastic, so overly dramatic Worst Bit: The keyboard part bugs me after awhile, Hooky's bass is way too high, and the guitar doesn't fit. But I still like it oddly. Why love/hate it?: It's from an era when New Order took artistic chances, rather than having to think about what the dickweeds at London Records thought about it Rating: 60% Sandwich Filling: Chicken/Turkey/Ham/Salami...doesn't matter as long as there's cheese and mayo

1. when it gets really quiet near the end and then the bass comes in again. hell, whenever Hooky does something dramatic.
2. nothing really...though the 17 min. version is a bit long (though not nearly as bad as video 586)
3. probably my favorite new order instrumental. i'd hate to see it live, and it slows low life down a bit in the middle, but it's a lovely song that I've always liked a lot. I even used it in a movie i made once.
