I've read all the other threads about the 2nd Peel Session tracks and wonder if I'm alone in thinking this is one of the most sublime NO songs ever?
Back to back with the PC&L version this is head and shoulders above. Totally different vibe - class.

I like aspects of both. The piano sounds great on Peel (instead of keyboard on PCL). The tempo is unusal for NO, but the singing on both are awful.
I have never been a huge fan of either of the recorded versions, but always liked the live version. Ultraviolence is another track from PC&L that lost it's energy compared to the live version.
That's true. I remember they opened with Ultraviolence at Futurama 4 (first gig) and the sequenced intro boomed round the place. The PC&L version which came out after was so thin in comparison.
PCL by a hair on this one.
However, when it comes to Movement's songs, Peel Session 1 all the way.
deffo the peel version,, the futurama gig .was also good for a great version of 586 that got watered down to poncy clanging keyboards(in comparison) on pc&l.and omited the reference to a lou song.
still ,, we all make mistakes.
