Haven't listened lately. I recall my attitude was: why would anyone want to listen to this?

5. oh yeah, i paid $34 for the blake babies's earwig record. nothing special about this record, it's not even an import! just a garden variety cd...i special ordered it at hmv cuz hmv was the only store in the mall that ever carried anything i wanted. and this was in my early teens before i had acess downtown for better cd deals. 5 years later, i find the same cd in sam the record man for $6.99. inexperienced music buyer tricked into buying hmv's crazy prices.

I think this is pure class. Loved the harmonies between BARNEY and NEIL TENNANT. Nothing i dislike apart from the posing in the VIDEO. 90% £20000 to my ex-wife PENNY.Now that was a waste of money.Still she didn't get custody of my FAC 53's.BITCH :D

1- Best Bit. The starting bars. The staccato at the beginning. And the Barney & Tennant armonies.

2- Worst bit. The bland production.

3- I love it because it was the first Electronic song I heard and still one of the best.

5- All the money spent on vinyl records who will never be played again.

Best bit is also Barney's vocals, plus the guitar solo. I also like the sleeve a lot.

Worst bit is Neil's backing vox, plus a couple of lyrics. The original sinner line always gets me.

Don't particularly hate it, but I hadn't played the record in a couple of years.

Heck, it was only $10, but a Gun Club gig in 84 where Jeffrey Lee Pierce was f*cked up royally still makes me shake my head today.

it's the perfect corny teen song and i love it. it reminds me of a boy i used to fancy. he didn't fancy me though (that's what he told his mates). 80%. the horse - she actually is a (x)racehorse that goes backwards. and a complete tart - she'll wink at anything ;)

Too much Neil Tennant for my liking.

This was the first electronic song I heard, so I guess you could say it has sentimental value... But I'm not a Tennant fan (when Tennant's not w/ PSB)

Absolute Bollocks it's got Neil Tennant in it for christ sake

1. Best bit: The orchestral bit at the end - Anne Dudley rules.
2. Worst bit: It wears thin after a few too many plays.
3. Love it/hate it? I really liked it when it first came out - I had to buy another copy of the 7" cos I wore the first one out! It was my favourite song for about a month. Alas, I'd played it too much and it became obvious that it hasn't got much depth. The lyrics are pretty lousy as well.

Great song,and the perfect pop record. It still gets a lot of airplay on local radio. Also GAWI has the best Electronic sleeve. A sign Johnson/Panas are no match for Saville.

This is a wonderful pop song. Nothing wrong with it at all--I can sing along with it and dance around a little too because it is a good feeling song. Waste of money? A pair of Jimmy Choos so high heeled that I can only walk ten yards in them.

Always reminds me of November December 1989 and the incoming dark winter of that period.

I can't believe Chris Marker did the video for it, though. Absolutely typical video for the time period...would've thought someone as creative as Marker would spice up the formula somehow.

I quite like this one. Shame it was done in Electronic and not NO. I don't regard Electronic as "Electronic". It's just Bernard Sumner as a solo artist to me.

1. The few seconds leading up to the second time they do the chorus, followed by, of course, the chorus. Pure gold!
