So what did everyone think of this match? Brazil looked pretty good, but not spectacular. Kaka and Ronaldinho were excellent, but Ronaldo looks done. He and the cheating midget should be in a hot dog eating contest.
On the other end, I thought Croatia looked very good, except that their forwards were awful. They had no idea what to do with the ball. With some good play from them, they could have beaten Brazil.

I thought Brazil were awful last night. Heres why:
The Defence was pathetic. If Croatia had anything resembling a decent striker or a creative midfielder then they would have had at least 3.
Ronaldo, as everyone noted, was out of shape and disinterested.
Adriano did nothing.
Croatia bossed and won the midfield battle. Had more possesion and for most of the game looked more threatening with it.
Ronaldinho. Best player in the world my rear end. Fancy tricks are all well and good but everytime he did it he just ran into croatian defenders, or gave croatia time to reorganise. He lost the ball loads of times and never once tried to win it back.
If Brazil play Italy or Czech Republic in 2nd round i think they'll go out.
Very Unimpressive.
Ronaldihno will prove his mettle as time goes on...
Croatia are a solid side (despite a couple of fruity fans) and I reckon they'll make it through the group with Brazil.
the two big forwards don't suit each other. i'd have just Adriano by himself with Robinho buzzing off him.
Brazil didn't look overly impressive, but noone really has so far... They've still got the players to do it, but there are weak links appearing and if they come up against any of the bog boys on form, they might struggle...

Totti looked impressive the other night before he went off.
Crotia played very well, they did what they could do: defend themselves. Most of the game you could see nine players in the defense field.
Around here, most of the people think Ronaldo should be out. I disagree. Unfortunately, Brazilians doesn't have memory. The man has a story of self-superation and he's very talented. Parreira has already said that Ronaldo will play against Australia, and if he's not well, we have Robinho. I think it's wise.
About Ronaldinho Gaúcho, all I have to say is that the World Cup is no Nike advertising. There's always someone on his back, so just pass the ball, my son.
I believe I have said this before, Kaká shall be the great name of Brazil, such a complete player. And Robinho shall do good as well, if he gets the opportunity to play. He is fast and talented, although too little, which makes him easy to be stopped.
There's a positive side on the score, all the expectations are kind of settled, and I really hope that now the boys can play with humility, because they are not the Football Globetrotters that you are used to see on those ESPN highlights or whatever they're called. They're humans and shall represent their people not as popstars, but as the poor kids most of them once were - and most of the persons in their country are.
I hope, Brazil will be the first in this group. Because I have tickets for the next round: First of this Group vs. Italy or the Czech republik.

Well put. I think Ronaldo could perhaps play the first half, if he's interested, then bring someone else on in the second half, because there's no way he can be effective for 90 minutes, considering his conditioning.
I hope you're right about Kaká, as he's on my fantasy team.
Brazil weren't the only team to come out too full of themselves. Just look at the Americans. Of course, Brazil were still able to win their match.
Brazil will always ,um,score one more goal however or whatever the play like.Ronaldhino will pull something out of the bag when he really needs to.
