All Ghana need is a win to Advance

funny before the World cup the great ESPN broadcast team was saying how Ghana was an Automatic 3 points for the U.S. Lets see now

on another note

the World cup daily show announcers keeps refereing to Julie Fowdy as a ........ "two time world cup winner" :abovelol: she won two womens world cups with the U.S.

C'mon that doesnt count, does it :scratch:

I hope Ghana hammer the septics. Ghana play with a smile on their faces, and I shall defo be watching this instead of the Czechs against Italy.

1455 BST: It's anthem time again and most of the the Czechs don't seem too keen on singing - maybe because their tune sounds like a funeral march. The volume is raised for the more jaunty 'Inno di Mameli' - possibly the best anthem of the tournament. Answers on a postcard.

If anyone could explain to me how the septics were no.5 in the world going into this tournament, I would be very interested to know.

For me, as a UEFA qualified coach, the top teams in the world are:

Brazil
Argentina
Spain
Italy
Germany
France

Note the lack of England. Until they find who's got the trophy cabinet key they can't be considered a real force in the game.

Pretty good list, I more or less agree with your top 5 but you have France ahead of Netherlands??? :scratch: I'd also put England, Portugal and maybe even Mexico ahead of France. Could almost even make a case for Sweden ahead of France, after a couple of beers.

look at the powerhouses they play against: jamaica, el salvador, island 1, island 2, bermuda, insert central american country here.
