Yeah, even I know it's "relegated"! His comparison to baseball is ridiculous, since the minor league teams are affiliated with the major league teams, whereas the English football teams are independent. His suggestion of "demoting" a major league team means that, for example, the Kansas City Royals could get demoted to the minor leagues, while their very own minor league team could get promoted to the majors ahead of them!! Ridiculous. An inappropriate analogy.
