MP's are having a pop at Man United coz we have ditched funding to our womens footy team, and left them high and dry. So they are fucked.
THank fuck for that.
My season ticket money goes to the team (in an ideal world). MUFC isnt some equal rights movement, its a fuckin footy club.
Thank fuck we aint subsidising a pretend womens team.

They do that there? Sounds like the Title IX stuff here, where universities & colleges are required by law to fund the same number of women's teams as men's team. Bit different there, though, as the funding comes from the tuition of all students, male and female. I'm surprised to see a professional squad do that, though I think the NBA & NFL do do it to some extent. But since I don't have any season tickets, I don't give a crap what they do with their money. I guess it's ok as long as it's not the cause of ticket price increases tho.
