Rumours are that Sean Maloney is coming to us either now or signing a pre-contract. Any good?

Shaun is a quality player Mark. A wee buzzbomb (he's 5'7, even smaller than Shug and i :D) who is best deployed as an attacking midfielder though he can also play out wide or up front. He is a free-kick expert and won the Scottish Player of the Year Award last season aswell as picking up the Young Player gong. He has had a lot of injury problems, done his cruciate in 2004 which sidelined him for a year and this season he has been a bit part player due to various ailments. I'm just glad Villa have paid £1m to take him now as the whole episode of his ongoing contractual dispute has left a bad taste in the mouth amongst the Celtic support who feel rather let down by him.

Reasonable player, saw him play a couple of years ago against the Northern Ireland U21's

Is anyone starting to realise yet that Martin O'Neill is actually a shit manager. What's he won in England? Wortho Cup? Scot don't count. its too easy. that Petrov he signed from Celtic is having a terrible season. good in the first few games. rubbish now.

A fine captain for his country though, O'Neill not Petrov.

Bless

O'Neill took Wycombe into the Football League, with Leicester he won promotion to the Premiership and they finished in the top half of the table every season he was there, won the League Cup and took them into Europe twice. At Celtic he won 3 League titles, 3 Scottish Cups and 1 League Cup aswell as guiding us to a European final. Aye, shit manager alright.

Maloney, if he stays fit will be a cracking addition to Villa Mark, when he's in full flow he's a joy to behold as he loves running at players and has a decent shot, as John says he's a bit good with free-kicks an all.

Petrov will come good as well.

I agree with John though, the whole deal with Maloney has left a lot of us fans a bit pissed off to say the least, we even upped his wages when he was out through injury and offered him a longer contract.
